I installed an OEM front dash camera on my Sport. I knew it did not have a rear facing camera but I liked the factory look and it works great. I would like to install a stand alone rear dash camera and asking for advice from anyone who has already done this or camera recommendations for a rear...
I really don’t mean to whip a dead horse here and beat up on this company, but once I finally got the wipers they were terrible. They left a weird residue in an arc right in the middle of the windshield. I tried cleaning them with alcohol and again with soap and water to no avail. It’s been...
They are there for lining up the windshield at installation. I had them too. I just had my cracked windshield replaced by Safelite and I saw the same marks on the new windshield. The Tech said they are placed there to line it up properly and there was s no problem removing them with a razor...
I love the Code 118 wallet. I added their leather sleeve which adds two more card slots, one of which is perfect for the key card. The leather sleeve also gives it a nice feel without adding any noticeable thickness.
Great advice! This was not the case here and I don't think there is aftermarket glass for Gen 4 Tacos yet. Also, I own the truck for the long haul. However definitely something I did not consider or even know about since we at times lease my wife's cars. Thank you.
As a follow-up, my windshield arrived at Safelite in Whitehall (Allentown) two weeks earlier than expected. I went there today and it was installed with no problems within 90 minutes. I am very happy with the service I received from Safelite, including keeping me posted on the order status...
Not the brightest thieves given the small size of our gas tanks. You would think they would target some full size truck. This really sucks, I am sorry to hear this happened.
To me it seems they are focusing more on building new trucks than supplying needed parts to their existing customers. Perhaps trying to get as many trucks into the US as future tariffs possibly loom ahead.
Update, just got a call from Safelite, there is no aftermarket and I need to go with OEM. Unfortunately OEM is on an indefinite back order and they will call me when it comes in. Seems Safelite is doing their part, now it’s just waiting.
Got hit with a rock on the highway that cracked the windshield. My insurance company steered me to Safelite and I have an appointment next week. I asked for OEM glass which they said they would install. However in checking with my local Toyota dealer, I was told windshields are on a long back...
There is a large black racer snake that lives near our house. Harmless to people but there is not a rodent to be found in the area. The snake does freak out my wife when he is sunning in the open though, LOL.
I towed a trailer with a small backhoe at about 5k pounds. If I was not paying attention I would have forgotten it was back there, it towed and braked perfectly.
I had the same problem on the hood. I clayed the hood to remove anything that was there including previous waxes. Then applied Griots Garage Best in Show carnauba wax and use their Speed Shine between waxes. Problem solved.
I believe there is also an airbag in the A Pillar so I would be careful in trying to remove the interior trim in that area. A suggestion may be to pull your interior ceiling lights and use a wire snake to pull the wire between the headliner and roof by going from light opening to light opening...
BMW, Mini, BMW, Jaguar, always with a beater old Tundra. One day the breaks on the rusty old Tundra went with the pedal going all the way to the floor. The emergency brake slowed me down and I slowly rolled into a stopped school bus. Thank god I literally just tapped it. Went out the next day...
Looks great! Couple of questions; Do they stay on when the headlights are on at night and if so do they provide any additional lighting without affecting oncoming drivers? Are they on with day time running lights? Can they be wired so they only come on with one of the Aux switches that are on...
