  1. Side Steps for Extra Cab ?

We both got the OEM steps (and posted here following the install). I've been happy w/ them so far.
  2. 1st Time Taco Owner!

Welcome. Nice looking truck---- I did all three of the adds you're planning as well and if it helps you out any, this is 20% ceramic tint which looks like a good match to the rear window (IMO). Congrats on your new ride.
  3. Looking for a Bed Rack to fit the BAK Revolver with T slots

I also wanted to get a full (extending up over the cab) rack, but didn't find any that would fit. When I was doing my research, none of the full racks were compatible w/ a bed cover, so it was an either/or situation. The compromise I decided to go with was the Elevate rack you mentioned. It has...
  4. ICON Top Hat install (Coilover Top Plate Reinforcement)

I thought good investment as well and purchased them a while back, but haven't had a chance to install yet (insert bag on head emoji here if there was one :)). Nice job!
  5. Where is your fob while driving?

First keyless vehicle for us as well——you’ll get used to it faster than you think. The fob is on the ring with my other keys and usually in my pocket. FWIW, I’ve seen a little removable drawer for that cubby (can’t remember the exact name) that would allow you to store something in there without...
  6. Stolen 2024 Tacoma Houston TX

It would definitely make hauling home 20 bags of mulch a PITA, but there's always this option . . . . :)
  7. Wind Fairing Noise on Roof Racks

When I installed my bed rack, the cross bars caused very noticeable (irritating) wind noise/whistling. After wrapping the bars w/ paracord in a spiral pattern, the noise was gone. Since the primary function of my set-up is for utility, having the cord there doesn't bother me a bit (YMMV). It's...
  8. What did you do TO / WITH your 4th gen Tacoma today?! 👨‍🏭 🧰 📸

Safely transported the breakfast of champions utilizing the fold-flat work surface feature :)
  9. Stolen 2024 Tacoma Houston TX

Very sorry to hear about this happening. Hope you somehow get your truck back and that those responsible are appropriately punished. It’s sad how far backwards things seem to be trending in terms of the general public’s accepting/tolerating criminal behavior——really hope things work out for you...
  10. ‘24 PreRunner in GA

When you get it we will be twins :) Sounds like you'll be as happy with it as I've been.
  11. Seat Covers for xtra-cab fold flat seat?

First off, welcome from another xtracab fan (not many of us out there aside from the commercial fleet guys :) ). Pretty sure you’re looking for “nice/fitted” covers designed specifically for our trucks and unfortunately, AFAIK, there aren’t any currently on the market. I ended up getting some...
  12. Question Regarding Tonneau Cover and Bed Molle Panel

I've been happy w/ this set-up (BAK Revolver cover)---- one of the reasons I got it was to keep the Molle panels (Toyota OE) usable and not take up any bed space w/ a canister. edit: if you have any interest in add'l info. and/or pics, here's a post from when I did the install...
  13. Only getting 15 MPG

After taking it out on a longer extended drive/trip, the mileage got much better for me. Initially it was disappointing to be getting consistently lower than stated mpg, but after getting it out on the road beyond the everyday routine driving it really improved. The pic below is better than...
  14. Folding Badlands Shovel

Just picked up this little foldable Badlands shovel from Harbor Freight---- it can be used fully extended (straight) as in pic below and at a 90-degree angle as well. Comes w/ pouch and hardly takes up any space in the truck.
  15. Bed Rail Tie-down Points

The pic in my above post that isn't the Amazon listing is my truck---- I like having them mounted to the side bars of my rack (the extra height provides more stability when hauling taller items and if wider-than-stable-in-bed items get transported on rack they're helpful as extra lateral...
  16. Bed Rail Tie-down Points

My cover is made by the same company (BAK), so these might work for you if you're still looking. I've got them on the side bars, but most people mount them to the bed rails like you want to do. It looks like the pic below from Amazon shows them on the rails.
  17. Random 2024 Tacoma 4th Gen Photos of the Day - Post Yours! 📸 🤳

Finally got the windows tinted----asked for close match to the rear window and am very happy with how it turned out (20%).
  18. What did you do TO / WITH your 4th gen Tacoma today?! 👨‍🏭 🧰 📸

Nice truck & welcome to the group. I think you'll like the revolver cover----been very happy with mine so far.
  19. What did you do TO / WITH your 4th gen Tacoma today?! 👨‍🏭 🧰 📸

I leave it on. It's attached using 8 bolts in the T-slots (2 at the base of each of the vertical supports as circled in the pic below). The only situation I can think of where I'd want to remove anything would be needing to fit something in the bed that was taller than the crossbar nearest...
  20. Finally… tires purchased, waiting on TPMS

Congrats David----you've spent a lot of time figuring this out and no doubt it'll look great(y)
