It varies, but 18-22ga for most wires. You should be fine with that crimper.

Make it a fixed handle matching OEM style where you can get your fingers through the slot for both sides.

I would also wait for a full grip version. The OEM grab slot just doesn't cut it. As far as appearance is concerned, I would expect the materal used, style, and appearance to match OEM quality.
