yea manual says 0w20 the official dealer in my county which as been more than 60 years here says 5w30 like l said they use that one as here it’s more tropical weather like puerto rico tiny bit on the colder side...

i cannot pin point the issue in the states tacomas are recommended to use lexus oil tickness 0w20 (based on the dealer overseas) toyota dealer in my country for tacoma 2024 which is the same motor and spec uses 5w30...
yea that is very bad never owned a 3rd gen cause l just don’t like the design and the gear hunt but l think this gets worse mpg than the 3rd gen which is odd thinking of course of all the engineering behind this 4g .. on paper will make sense since it’s a smaller engine carrying a big body… but...
got myself a pedal commander 110usd was a steal will try and see if using on eco it’s better every 2 days i gotta put 30usd on it it gets full with about 70 so putting 30 every other day its a lot if it was like every 3 or almost 4 days ill be ok l barely drive cause l work from home so i drive...
mine is 4x4 i cannot recall when l did it..
l am outside of the US so roads are bid bumpy and here and there hills nothing crazy l mostly drive plane…
mines are MT l guess if you go with something like AT would be much better..

l am around 14-15mpg… l haven’t done any mods that l would think increases my consumption… upgraded to MT 265 coming from the HW 245 that the truck comes with…
and also added running boards that weight maybe 15kg each side

l did start n stop with ok buttom... NO FOOT ON BREAK and just reset my avg kms l use kms cause l am not in the US. but only reset that in ur case would only reset miles... if you talking about configurations u had no all stayed the same for me

l got a 2024 SR5 for some reason l cannot seem to have the miles/km of range updated once l get fuel…
this started to happen when i changed from 245/70/R17 HW toyo (factory) to 285/70/R17 MT these were too rough and big. Also it’s when i noticed the inconsistency.

thank you, you the MAN!! l guess its between radiator shutter (makes sense l ordered one since the one it came with was broken)but when l assembled the front back l though it had just one connector close to the cruise control radar , once l get the grill shutter time to take another look at it.
