been running my AWE for about a year and around town it's fairly quiet unless you get on it. also in sport mode or manual mode, occasionally the exhaust will pop between 2500 and 3000 rpm. it's quiet when it needs to be but also pretty rowdy when pushing it.
Coworker and I both have lower trim toyota's than the TRD OR and were curious if you could swap the MTS Control knob into the lower trims and it actually work. Not sure i want to spend $150 to test yet, but if it would work i feel like it would nice to have off road for the crawl control...
i know the guys in my local parts department so i ordered mine before going in this week for my 20k service and to get it confirmed. my service writer was confused when i told her that the part was already ordered since they confirmed the noise in the service drive.
part is currently on...
the sport springs are a bit higher rate to make the street driving feel tighter. but to say they can't be ran on 5100s is interesting. i would assume they will work but will continue to ride a little firm.
here are some pictures of mine that i installed this last week. I installed the Pro models.

there is a LC250 owner in Pennsylvania that is over 100k miles already. he's a medical courier and drives back and forth across the state. He has had zero issues outside of regular maintenance. as of 3 months ago, the owner was at 110k.
Will eventually have to install a switch panel into the truck as i add more lights. Couldn't necessarily find a reasonably priced mount for the tacoma and didn't want to drill holes in my fuse panel lids so came up with this design. Designed it for my existing auxbeam kit that i took out of my...
Wanted to post a couple pics of the Martin Off Road Camper Roof Rack I installed last week. had been waiting on someone to release either a half rack or camper rack and Martin was the first one to release one for the 4th gen. I did have to use different spacers to lower it a bit because of the...
the rear suspension is way easier to change than the fronts, what was the difficult process of the rear springs? genuinely curious. when i installed my rear lift springs and shocks it took 10 minutes tops
i have a set of the DD brackets sitting on my desk. just waiting on them to release their fog light kit that replaces the current SS6's and i will snag the SS2's for these brackets as well.
i've been running the fox 2.5 ifp shocks for about 5k miles now. super happy with them. they ride fantastic, only real minor complaint is the front end is floaty over larger "bumps" and dips on the highway. paired with the rear ADO springs, they handle my GFC super well.
when you installed the rack, did you have to raise the GFC up to get to those rear bolts? looks like it's a bit tight and not much room to reach in there.
yeah, it may come down to making custom brackets to reach the back. that martin rack is interesting though since they notch it for the GFC specifically. i will reach out to them after we get back from Expo.
