Metal shavings should be captured by the filter, and yes, metal shavings are an issue, but the break down of the oil due to heat is the reason for changing oil at 5000 miles, or 6 months.
No hard braking
no rapid acceleration
no driving at constant speed of 50, 60, or 70 for over 10 minutes at a time
change oil at 1000, then every 6 months or 5000
No practical need ( or Toyota would have installed one)
I was researching the engine, images were shown with a cover, I now realize those were transverse mounts.
Lots of new owners list window tint as 1st mod. Help me understand, what are the reasons?

What company provides the best tune?
my priorities would be
improve gas milage
better performance
increase engine longevity
does not effect Toyota warranty
Based on above, best value would be?
I have a Real Truck Gator SRX, inexpensive, but serves my purpose, as I have a garage, so security is not a concern. Close the tail gate first, then close the cover, for a good seal at tailgate.
My 2025 TRD Sport came with 265/65/R18. After 10 to 15 thousand miles I plan on new tires and wheels. I would like a slightly taller, and no wider (even narrower) tire.
Since I plan to buy wheels, is there a practical, or performance reason to stay at 18, or to switch to 17?
I don’t offroad, an...
