  1. Intro + Build Thread: Evergreen Daydreams

I like those bronze wheels, my TRD Sport has 18” chrome / black OEM. Bronze would look good with my Ice Cap
  2. Anyone else's heat suck?

My 2025 Tacoma TRD Sport works great, it can be too hot after about 15 minutes. I end up setting it to 68, with very little fan. My prior was a 2012 FJ, it took a while to warm, especially the foot box. West TN, it’s been 32 or less for over a week. 4HI on ice and snow has worked well also.
  3. Best tonneau cover?

I have a Gator SRX soft roll up cover. Inexpensive, easy install, out of my way in 5 minutes if need bed. I park in my garage, security is not a big factor, a thief can access a hard or soft cover.
  4. Installed an Offroam phone mount

Pro Clip makes one that clips over the AC vent that then uses a mag mount or clamp. Pricy as well, but holds tight. Suction cup mounts do not hold tight in a truck, my experience.
  5. Coverdream seat covers review and tips

You definitely want them warm and stretchy before install.
  6. Coverdream seat covers review and tips

Airbag functions work fine, I called and discussed prior to ordering. EKR and Coverdream are same. I ordered Coverdream on Amazon, came in EKR box, EKR instructions, EKR tag on covers.
  7. 10,000 Mile Oil Change

500 miles initial, then at every 5000 or 6 months, which ever comes first.
  8. Rough country soft roll cover

Gator SRX is a great choice, I’ve had one for 6 months, easy install, no leaks yet, uses tie down rails for mounting. Confirm all above!
  9. Heated steering wheel mod

No heated steering on my TRD Sport, but my sons RAV 4 has it, but at 7-11 and 1-5, not at top or bottom
  10. How to break in a new Tacoma? Other tips welcomed :)

Metal shavings should be captured by the filter, and yes, metal shavings are an issue, but the break down of the oil due to heat is the reason for changing oil at 5000 miles, or 6 months.
  11. How to break in a new Tacoma? Other tips welcomed :)

No hard braking no rapid acceleration no driving at constant speed of 50, 60, or 70 for over 10 minutes at a time change oil at 1000, then every 6 months or 5000
  12. Christmas-Holiday Wishlist

Seat covers are a nice and practical upgrade, once you get past the install!
  13. Engine cover

No practical need ( or Toyota would have installed one) I was researching the engine, images were shown with a cover, I now realize those were transverse mounts.
  14. Engine cover

Good to know, in regards to transverse mounting, I suspected Toyota parts sold it, probably $700 to $1000 my guess
  15. Engine cover

Anyone know a source for this engine cover
  16. Bed Cover Questions

My tonneau directions advised closing tailgate first, then closing cover, never an issue.
  17. What did you do TO / WITH your 4th gen Tacoma today?! 👨‍🏭 🧰 📸

Lots of new owners list window tint as 1st mod. Help me understand, what are the reasons? appearance? cooler cab temp? UV protection for interior? prevent those outside of truck from identifying occupants? This is legit question, what am I missing, I’m old, owned probably 10 or more vehicles in...
  18. if you could only do one mod on your 4th Gen Tacoma, what’s the move?

Agree, my practical experience tells me the same, just want to understand all the various opinions. Rare is the case when an individual spends money on a modification and then provides negative comments.
  19. if you could only do one mod on your 4th Gen Tacoma, what’s the move?

OTT tune, any improvement in mpg? I understand the performance improvement, I’m old, (75), but I grew up in an era where cams, Holley 4 barrels, headers were what we changed, but now, I seek other reasons, thus mpg?
  20. if you could only do one mod on your 4th Gen Tacoma, what’s the move?

What company provides the best tune? my priorities would be improve gas milage better performance increase engine longevity does not effect Toyota warranty Based on above, best value would be?
