You can easily slip your hand between the skid plate and the front bumper. I tried gorilla tape and it actually worked pretty good..

It makes plenty of noise without this... There are some non-hybrid 4cyl vehicles that are quieter.

The fan is pretty loud and you can still hear the hybrid motor... Trust me there is plenty of noise without this thing.

I found this really nice plug and Play kit with a high quality OEM plug and hard plastic overmolded resistor. You could DIY for cheap, but I didn't want to splice any wires No more annoying Jetsons noise.
