Added a tonneau cover and kept my sport bars.

I was worried about the same thing. My first choice was a BAK roll top cover. Mount it sitting on top of a plate that connected to the rail system and had bolts going up for the bars, instead of the T-slots. That was just too much fabrication and I couldn’t find anything on the market that I was...
I squeezed the bars closest to the cab in about 1/8 - 3/16” on each side just to minimize to amount of overhang out from the tonneau track. But I don’t really think that made much of a difference. Unfortunately I didn’t take any before photos from that angle to compare.
I looked at that as an option too, but it looks like the Diamondback flips up? If that’s the case, you could cut the mounting tabs off the sport bars and bolt them to the top of the cover. The limitation would be that the front section of the cover would only open 60% ish.
Perfectly level. I took my time grinding it flat and sanding it smooth. The last 2 photos show the after and before (I kinda sucked at the post) that show how much higher it is after the install.
Here is a link to my post on the addition of a tonneau with the ARB bars attached.

If you don’t like the ARB sport bar, you can move on to the next thread. I happen to like it but I wanted a tonneau cover too. I had 2 ideas to make both possible. The first idea was to make a plate that sits under the lip of the cover and allows you to bolt the bars on after cutting them up a...
Well now you have put me in a quandary! I was getting ready to order the Retrax PRO XR Manual Retractable Cover w/ T-Slot Rails. It is completely possible to mount this cover, cut the 4 tabs that protrude down from the ARB Sport Bar, then mount the bar on the T-slots using standard anchors. It...
So I did this install and it seems like my gas mileage went down more than 4 MPG. Anyone else notice this? Only thing I can think is the TRD Pro has openings in the grill that allow for more airflow into the intake and the Trailhunter is drawing hotter air up from the radiator area? I just...
My Trailhunter came with a warning sticker that said "DO NOT USE A JACK ON THE ROCK RAILS". Only place the jack at the ends where they can support more weight.
You don't have to turn PDA off. If you turn off Deceleration Assist in the PDA submenu, that annoying braking will end and the remaining safety features will continue.
