No, it’s powered. This is the lumbar moving forward and back inside the lower seat, almost for sure. From what I’ve seen/my memory, the small number of people who have my issue don’t seem to report a lot of noise.
I’ll say mine has no sound, or almost none. It’s just constantly shifting forward and backward. I need to do the DIY fix and see if it works. I hope they agree to fix yours and if it is replaced, I’ll be curious if the new one is solid.
This is why I have not taken it to the dealer. Every time I go they treat me like an idiot until I escalate because I’m an attorney. Their Neanderthal techs always break stuff on the interior, leave grease stains, etc and I have to fix it myself. The only time I’ll have them look at the seat is...
I have a limited and this has been present since day one. I also have the lose lumbar support and bed rail trim issue. Stop start and hold also don’t work very well. Happy with the truck overall but it’s got quite a few minor issues already.
I have a similar issue. It seems like the lumbar support is slipping. Every time I drive, but not necessarily frequently. It’s like the support of the seat just drops but it doesn’t matter if lumbar is set to high, low, or in between. I will probably bring it to the dealer and be told I’m...
Someone on Facebook mentioned securing some part inside the seat at the top and bottom with zip ties but I wasn’t seeing anything immediately loose when I unzipped. Seems like maybe the lumbar support just slips. I only have a couple hundred miles on the truck so I’ll wait and see but it seems...
Damn, thank you. Honestly, what a helpful response. It might be a few months til I get here but this will be incredibly useful. Really appreciate your thorough response.
I’m interested in this too. The calibration is all DIY? I can handle a few hours if I don’t have to pay a dealer to do it wrong. What provoked the need to do the entire system vs just the front?
