I would be interested as well. Been doing a lot of storage organization brainstorming on the Trailhunter for the interior and curious on what your guys are developing!
Well technically they are 295/70R18s Falken AT4s which translates to like 34.5 in. Recently I added Dobinson springs to lift the TH another 1.5 inch front and back. But even before then, I had no concerns. I removed the crash bracket and added ARK shields in their place. I also moved the...
Great post and feedback! Love the spec as well.
Did you re-gear your truck for 37s? I currently have 35s on my TrailHunter and been salivating over the idea of going bigger.
303 Aero Protectant is solid for protection particularly with UV inhibitors. Great for hard surfaces like dashboards after cleaning.
It’s important though to have a clean surface before applying a protectant or conditioner.
For me body oils are a part of my OCD lol. Elbows on the center...
I can highly reccomend Titan Chemistry’s Leather Cleaner and Leather Conditioner.
The cleaner is super gentle and won’t dry out leather, even synthetic leathers.
The conditioner is great, really hydrates and softens real and synthetic leather. Matte finish and no greasy feel which I can’t...
Just made the air pressure changes going to go for test drive.
I think from my search I saw 103lb but I guess close enough lol.
Will report back shortly
No balance or vibration issues. I would imagine out of balance would show up as vibration and not a pull.
Installed correctly to best of my knowledge. Put the wheels on, followed a 6 lug torque sequence, torqued to 103ft lbs
Gunna fine tune the air pressure today, as I ran 37 in the front and...
Did my 5k service today myself, oil change, front and rear diff fluid change, (been driving in a lot of water down here in Florida) and of course rotated my tires front to back.
I am notoriously sensitive to any alignment issues such as off center steer ahead, or pulling of any sort. I spent...
Reading a lot of good stuff in this thread and a lot of knowledgeable people.
Apolgies in advanced if this hijacks the thread. But all this interval and oil discussion raised a question I always had.
Oil pressure is only built up when our engine is running. So for example on main bearings...
Installed new Dobinsons springs today on my Trailhunter.
Went with 817s in the front and 820s in the rear, gained about an inch front and back.
Questions:
Should I consider stronger sway bar links or extended sway bar links to correct sway bar geometry?
I have the electronic sway bar...
This was the same dealer tried to make mark up a TH 10k over msrp, 15k shy on my BMW M4 trade in, and that I would never find a TH at MSRP.
Same day, I went to Toyota Naples, got my TH at MSRP and the trade in I wanted. 25k delta, what morons at Toyota of Weston
I agree, they could have used a specs from Camry for all I cared, that’s just dictates the range. What I care about is the actual readings. As long as those were in I don’t mind that its a gen 3 range.
Ended up going to a independent shop, I knew I was in the right place because they were doing a lot of work on raised trucks, lowered trucks, exotics, stanced cars, etc.
Had them to the alignment and everything feels good. The tech did mention that the Tacomas do enjoy a slight positive camber...
Picked up a 25 Trailhunter few weeks ago, after about 800 miles threw on the AT4 290/70R18s on the stock rim.
Even before the tire change I noticed a little too much positive caster that everyone describes in the other threads.
Went to the Toyota dealer (Weston FL) to get an alignment check...
