No problem. I edited my comment a bit in the beginning FYI.
I thought about the glove box and also the center console.
For the glove box I may do it later, but my current one has so much kick marks on it that i'm still debating if I want to buy a nice leather one to get kicked up as well...
The AC vents and the center trim near the volume knob are the AJT Designs stick on covers.
Edit: the climate knobs and 4WD knobs all have metal covers from AJT as well. The volume knob is a replacement knob from AJT. I would recommend the volume knob since it is easy to go back oem if you want...
To preface, I do not know the answers to your questions with 100% certainty, but I'll try my best to help.
The pdf i posted earlier has the parts list per each trim lift kit. As far as their availability i cannot confirm nor deny that, I wouldnt know. And, as far as which kit applies to your...
Let us know what you learn! I had this idea that one could swap out the struts and springs for another brand with the same lift heights and then purchase the rest of the required pieces from the TRD kit to complement them. Say, like using the old man emu BP-51 lift kit with 3 inch/2 inch lift...
I used to have ANC and ESE turned on, but even with the stock exhaust and then more so when I put the TRD performance exhaust on, at certain rpms and trying to accelerate, I would get this crazy deep rumbling sensation that sounded exactly like a subwoofer playing a constant low note really...
Depends on your trim, engine type, 4x4, bed length, etc. If you have a higher level trim like off road you already have the axles to support the longer suspension stroke of the lift kit. My sport 4x4 short bed gas model would need new axles, for example. This screenshot and pdf is all I've got...
It'd be awesome to learn what you find. I'm probably going for the TRD lift when it starts selling for my truck because I think it looks sick, but it'd be cool to see if there is a more street oriented option as well that also gives a lift.
Aside from just staying with the stock Sport...
I feel like the answer is yes, if going to a similar lift height as the TRD kit. This is exactly why I am willing to wait for the TRD lift kit for my truck type to release - it comes with the lift struts and springs, yes, but most of all it comes with all the necessary suspension geometry...
Was your new turbo like the one by turbokits that has the same housing size as oem but larger compressor and turbine wheels? Or, was your turbo a different design altogether?
Just curious because the turbokits one seems like it is being sent out to customers already and it would be interesting...
BL,
Hey thanks for the follow up. I also got my truck aligned this weekend. The shop guys told me something similar, everything else alignment wise was fine except the toe angle had my tires pointing to the left which is why I was holding the wheel to the right. They got me back in spec and...
Thank you for the insight. I thought I was tripping for real. Like, I swear it was a good swap maybe one spline tooth off at the most. But same for me, I hold it to the right to go straight! Probably like 5 degrees max. I'm going to my local shop tomorrow to inquire about alignment and steering...
Homies in the thread,
I just replaced my steering wheel with a pro wheel and I swear I installed the new one straight on the with the sharpie mark I made on the spline when taking the old one off. I am also quite (90%) sure my wheels were "straight" before the removal. When parked, everything...
Thank you for the detailed explanation and I appreciate your insight on how to get this done as well as the manhour estimate. It sounds like it is possible to DIY with some planning, time, and a bit of creativity no matter if we have a shop lift or just a driveway.
I should have proofread my...
Big Dawg,
When it comes to the coolant leaks due to the clamps or hoses - what do you think is the cause?
1. Are they degraded already due to the high heat environment they are in (near the turbo) and messing with them to install the new turbo killed them, i.e., like the old hoses are just...
Update: took a gamble and ordered a part that was the next sequential letter in the snorkel series just to see what it was. Turns out it was the bracket for the A-pillar and the PPF that goes under it. Problem solved! Now to figure out how to put it on...
PTR03-35242-AH
SUPPORT, AIR CLEANER...
Installed on TRD Sport non-hybrid.
Cost before shipping in above post screenshot. Not seen there is the trailhunter fender which cost me around 500 USD after shipping and then around 1000 USD to paint. I got it painted at a very high quality collision repair shop so that price may vary.
This...
