That's the part that kinda throws me a bit atleast. If everything was fine, then aligned and now it's throwing codes it does lean towards the shop could have caused it. But without the codes there's nothing that could really be said for sure. However all these systems are essentially linked...
Might be better off with a body shop actually if price shopping. Had to have it done on the wifes Corolla after an accident. It's pricey at the dealer but insurance was paying (around $500). Apparently it's also supposed to be done every time thr bumper is removed if the sensor is attached to it.
Actually looks really good, I might have to pick a set up.
It's mind boggling to me though how cheap and easy carbon fiber has gotten. I remember when something like this would cost thousands of dollars and hundreds of man hours to develop. Now manufacturers in China are mass producing carbon...
Most agree it won't hurt simply because outside of the U.S. 5w-30 is apparently the standard for these engines. However, reguardless of whether it's bad for the engine or not I personally wouldn't make the switch until the warranty is up. You are guaranteed to void the warranty doing that.
Everyone wants a pro or trailhunter grille. I just want one that's plain. No lights, no light bars, no Toyota logo, and no giant black strip. Just straight honey comb for maximum air flow and a cleaner look. Preferably oem quality and sizing on the honey comb. Then install a set of Tacoma...
Another note for the Gen4, it's also the generation with the most real competition in a long time. The Ranger needed a few years to get a real foot hold, the Colorado came back at the end of 2023, and nissan has decided to do something other than make trash fleet trucks out of the Frontier. All...
There are a ton of options, cheaper and more expensive, for hitch mounted recovery hooks. Personally I prefer this style:
Reason being the shackle allows for loop style recovery ropes without a secondary soft shackles. Just a little more versatile and cheaper. Could get a red shackle if you...
Honestly I can't say I can tell much of a difference between "preload collars" and spacer lifts. Either way they do the same, the force the spring into compression which stiffens it up forcing the truck higher. The downside, is typically a rougher ride, and reduced travel in suspensions where...
I had mentioned in another thread that the issue sounded like a driveshaft vibration. Knowing this it would be interesting to see if one of the members with a 1 piece shaft vibrations could get theirs checked for balance at a driveline shop.
I would assume any of the off-road oriented bypass shocks will have the softest ride. I.e. King, Dirt King, ect. Really anything that is adjustable. You can watch a ton of videos showing side by side comparisons or give the manufacturers a call directly and see what they say.
As a side note...
I would think it's gonna depend entirely on how you word it to the dealer and their customer service. A pot hole technically isn't going to be covered as it would be considered an "accident or act of god" situation rather than what it REALLY is (weak strut mounts). Unless there is a recall or...
Took my truck on a short road trip. About 4 hours for there and back. Averaged 19.8mpg on e15 between 75-80mph. Not bad. Didn't take pics but found a rare set of seats for my Ramcharger on the ol' marketplace. Gonna get them recovered but the frames and foam are mint.
For those not into...
It does when you are talking about air temp and look at it like percentages. I.e. How warm in 60* outside? In Fahrenheit you would think about it as 60% hot, which isn't very hot at all. On the Celsius scale, your gonna be dead of heatstroke very soon. 10* outside? Well on the Fahrenheit scale...
Dealers are only as good as their best tech and unfortunately good techs are hard to come by. Especially with all of us who were smart just outright changing careers. Hard to justify constantly racing the clock, destroying your body, and having to constantly buy new tools at what they pay when...
