  1. Mountain Hatch - keep or return?

I just installed the Mountain Hatch tailgate panel and have some thoughts, comments: First: nice panel. I’ve 4th gen, so it does sit on top of the old OEM panel. Too bad the setup changed from the 3rd gen with the tuck-in under the lip - that had a much cleaner “OEM look”. Second: Very poor...
  2. Which ARB Suspension Kit Is Right for Your 4th Gen Tacoma Build? MT64 or BP-51

Thanks for the info! Hadn’t thought about hanging on to the old shocks

  3. Which ARB Suspension Kit Is Right for Your 4th Gen Tacoma Build? MT64 or BP-51

Currently building out a '26 OR with Alu-Cab, full armor, planned front bumper, winch, Powerbrakes Despite all the good things I have heard about OME and my affinity for Australia (an S African) gear, I'm hesitant on the BP-51s. I keep hearing that for any shock rebuild they have to be sent...
  4. Going from Retrax XR Pro tonneau cover and Kuat Ibex to Alu-Cab Contour and Sherpa Rainier for Fly Fishing

Thanks for the info! NRS Riffle Packraft is the one I am looking at
mainly for smaller ponds, lakes in Canada. Last year it was back ordered , so I think I will give it a try this year. Tim
  5. ARB.com Ascent base rack is different than shown

Perhaps this is useful. In Europe now and ARB’s site here lists Base Rack products as such: 1. “Suitable for short Canopy” 1545mm x 1285 (60.8x50.6”) Part #1770070. 2. “Suitable for narrow Canopy” 1835mm x 1155mm (72.2x45.5”) #1770080. 3. “Suitable for wide canopy” 1835mm x 1285mm (72.2x50.6”)...

  7. Going from Retrax XR Pro tonneau cover and Kuat Ibex to Alu-Cab Contour and Sherpa Rainier for Fly Fishing

Hi TacoFish! Nice setup you have. I was wondering, what is your impression of the NRS kayak? Like it? Have been considering getting one for use with my Sprinter & Taco. I have a long River Quiver up on the Sprinter for my nymphing rods- likely will move it onto the Tacoma as it is a bit...
  8. 2026 Tacoma Double Cab Roof Load Rating

After reading ad nauseam various load (static, dynamic) ratings from roof rack manufacturers, I finally asked myself ”what is the Manufacturer’s (Toyota’s) roof load rating?” I have come across some AI generated results (600# static) - but I am not willing to trust it without verification...
  9. Bed cam and rearview mirror cam extension

My Alu-Cab Contour Canopy already has a rear brake light wired in. I’m hoping to regain the digital rear view mirror with the extra camera - all wired inside and under the vehicle, without disturbing the rear brake light/camera assembly on the back of the cab and risking leaks
..
  10. Bed cam and rearview mirror cam extension

Hi, I plan to retain the digital rear view mirror and have purchased the GGOFFROAD harness. However, I am opting to leave the original camera in place for possible future use. Instead I purchased thru Toyota.oempartsonline.com a second camera (part # 867C0-AK010) and harness (#86797-0C360)...
  11. A-Pillar Grab Handle Reviews For 2024+ Tacoma

Multiple phone calls to Lexland’s Customer Service only resulted in recordings saying no one was available to take my call. Email to them resulted in a response that asked me the year and month my Taco was made, suggested I cut the item to make it fit, and offered me a 25% refund!! So they want...
  12. Grinding sound in hard Rt/Lt steering

Hi I am experiencing a grinding sound when turning when I have the steering at full right or full left. Made me think something was rubbing- but examining tires in that position everything seems clear. Have stock tires and wheels (2026 OR). Anyone have a similar experience? Any ideas? Thanks
  13. A-Pillar Grab Handle Reviews For 2024+ Tacoma

Bought the Lexland grab handle and attempted to install it today. After an hour of swearing I placed it side by side with the OEM I removed. Lexland’s is about 1/2 inch longer! Did theybsend the wrong one? Box is labeled 2024+ Tacoma. Just emailed their customer support for a refund . Will...
  14. Skid plates & sliders installed -- Cali-Raised, Miller Cat, RCI and Westcott

Given your offroad activities I think you’d find the sliders with or without the kick out good protection for your rocker panels from small boulders and trees. Some manufacturers offer then without the kick out (Cali-Raised), and some with a kick out that doesn’t protrude too far (C4...
  15. Skid plates & sliders installed -- Cali-Raised, Miller Cat, RCI and Westcott

In liked the fact that Miller Cat’s was stainless- when I put together my ‘wish list’ not all pieces were available from all sources
. Miller Cat now offers a bit more for the 4h gen
.. Also: stopped by Cali-Raised facility in Ft Worth just after Christmas
. One of the cofounders took 45” to...
  16. Alu-Cab Contour Canopy installed. Built SOLID & watertight

FYI: I had the “Ammo Box” slide installed. The Front Runner Wolf Pack boxes I use in my Sprinter van fit on it perfectly! Ordered a few more to keep dedicated to the Taco

  17. Alu-Cab Contour Canopy installed. Built SOLID & watertight

OK4WD in NJ installed my Alu-Cab Contour Canopy (I didn’t want to tackle the installation in the Vermont winter!). They did a fantastic job. Two days of pouring rain here this week - not a drop of water inside. It’s built SOLID.
  18. Skid plates & sliders installed -- Cali-Raised, Miller Cat, RCI and Westcott

Just installed skid plates and sliders on my 2026 OR. A mix of Cali-Raised, Miller Cat, RCI and Westcott. ALL are beautifully done and had perfect fitment. TIG welding on the Westcott sliders is SUPERB- but for some reason my wife just didn’t ‘get it’ and couldn’t comprehend my enthusiasm

  19. Damaged RCI rocksliders

RCI needs to up their packaging game. As I wrote in this forum a month or two back, my rear differential skid plate from them arrived with ZERO packaging aside from a plastic bag it was placed in. The plate had punched through the box in two locations. Fortunately it wasn’t damaged. I sent RCI...
