Looking for some experience with either tire size on a TRD OR with the TRD Lift. I will have Icon 17x8.5 +25 wheels. I would love to see some of your similar setups and experience with trimming.

These truck prefer narrower tires. Go for the 285/75 or one of the 35x11 or 35x11.5" options. The Falken AT4W is avlaibale in a load C for that size. I would absolutely avoid the traditional 35x12.5 (315/70) sizes.

I believe Toyo make their all terrain in the 285/75 size in a C as well. But in general, it can be challenging avoiding a Load E in the 285/75 size. Not the end of the world, but it's nicer to have a tire that matches your actual expected load a bit more (all else being equal).

A 285 75 17 measures
33.8 inches tall and 11.2 inches wide. I agree with Briscoelab that these trucks are better off with a narrow tire than wider ones due to the rubbing and trimming needed to accommodate a wider tire.
At the moment I am running with a set of E rated 255 80 17 +20 which measures a true 33x9.5 with 0 trimming and 0 rubbing when I am out using it off-road with the stock suspension. I have added a 3" King long travel kit on my Tacoma and will be upsizizing to a 35x11 when I have worn these out.
My research into upsizizing to the 35s with the +20 offset and the 3in lift has provided me with enough information to confidentiality go to 35s with 0 rubbing and trimming? We will see down the road.
Good luck with your de

Good luck with your decision..

BTW this is the LARGEST TIRE that will fit where the spare tire is located.
