Alternative mounting options for NYTOP / fender flares (no 3M tape)?

Hey all,

Curious if anyone has found alternatives to double-sided tape for mounting NYTOP flares or similar fender flares.

My main concern is future removal, specifically around the front bumper. I actually have a set of Alpha Rex fogs I've been putting off installing mostly because I'm dreading dealing with 3M tape removal and reinstall.

A couple ideas I've been kicking around:

• Double-sided velcro on the front section, so the flare can disconnect from the bumper more easily when needed?
  • I see this being risky on the fwy due to the velcro maybe not holding at higher speeds?
  • Any recommendations for strong velcro?
• Cutting the flare into two sections so it's easier to work around the bumper.
  • Getting the seam to look clean afterward might be tricky..

Did a search through the forum and couldn't find much discussion on this. Am I overthinking it?

Would love to hear what others have done or any ideas I haven't considered.

I don't think the douible sided velcro would hold well or look good. Would probably be too much of a gap even if it could hold.
Best best is probably to do all the mods you plan on doing to that front end at once, remove, remove adhesive, apply new 3M adhesive (even though it will be a bit of a PIA) and call it macaroni.

Velcro, I would be worried about loosing it on or off-road, 2 piece sounds like a better idea if you are planning on removing it now and again.
I cut my bumper and fender flares with a vibe cutoff tool, then used the trim that came with the new bumper. You can find trim on Amazon, just a thought
