So, the plan was to put on the BillieBars Rack. Sadly the new prototype didn’t work / have the right fitment. With spring/summer camping getting into full swing I was not about to lose another minute not being able to attach my roof top tent and get the truck out there.

With that being said, I went with the RetraxPro XR to make use of the rail system to attach my bars. Wanted the tent below the cap to keep the lower profile, drivability, and not lose a ton in gas mileage. Here’s the pics of the Retrax and my thoughts thus far:

Was an easy install and able to do it solo (an assist would make it easier, but totally doable solo - took about 1.5-2hrs with breaks from the heat). Set it up in the bed of the truck on top of a 40 gal Costco bin and then lifted and moved into place and bolted in. The install couldn’t have been easier (watched like 2 videos o YouTube of similar installs). Really happy with it and like the idea of being able to get to parts of the bed easier when the rack and tent is on it. This cover also fills the gaps the OEM doesn’t for better weather protection. It also fits my Anker Solix 56L fridge/freezer where the OEM didn’t.

That's one I'm considering on my TH.
Really happy with it thus far. Waiting for my racks to come in to fully get it ready for my tent and build plans. Let me know if you have any questions. Had the OEM trifold prior to so can speak to that / the BakFlip MX4 and this one.

Does a lot of water get into that cover? I used to have a trifold on my 3rd gen, which did not protect my gear from water. I then went with a roll up style, which kept all the water out but I hated leaving stuff in the bed. Picking up my new TRD Pro this week and I’d like to have a nice cover, something dry, secure, and won’t take up too much room so my bike can fit. I’d like the perfect cover…is this that?

Definitely a nice cover, actually becoming one of our best sellers!

Do you think it would work with OEM bed Molle panels? Is there space behind the canister? Right now it doesn't matter. They don't have one for a six foot bed but maybe something similar would. Or I wait for the 6 foot model.
