CarPlay music crackles/skips when wired and using phone nav

Yeah I’ve pretty much given up on any sort of resolution. I mainly drive my truck around town so I don’t really need navigation and I use wired CarPlay. In the rare times I need to use navigation, I go wireless. Still crackles when wired with either full or split screen navigation active (Google Maps, Waze, or Apple Maps). It didn’t crackle with the Toyota Navigation of course but I’m not gonna pay extra for that.
