USB media display when using Android auto

Is there any way to get the USB media (music) to display when using Android auto?

It only displays when using the Toyota app but not Android auto.

I haven't found one. I use android auto for maps on road trips and my fiancee will connect her iPhone over USB for music. It has to be controlled from her phone and doesn't show up on Android auto.

Android auto will only work with the phone apps. Anything that is controlled through the Toyota screen bypasses android auto and won't be displayed or controllable.
