Wanted to share a recent customer review that stood out to us, especially for those asking about long-term durability on SUMA ceramic LINK.

This customer has been using our ceramic spray for the past 3 to 4 years on his truck, including paint, vinyl, and plastic trim, all in Phoenix heat.

That kind of environment is tough on any protection product, so feedback like this means a lot.

Here’s what he shared:
  • Consistent protection even in extreme sun and heat
  • Works across multiple surfaces (paint, trim, plastics)
  • Maintains a clean, glossy finish over time
One thing we always emphasize — this isn’t a one-time “set it and forget it” coating.

It’s designed to be:
  • Simple to apply
  • Easy to maintain
  • And reapplied as part of your regular wash routine.
For most people, that ends up being the sweet spot between performance and practicality. Appreciate customers like this who’ve been using it consistently over the years 🙌

Would love to hear from others here. How has your experience been with ceramic sprays in the long term?

I'm curious about the hydrophobics and whether or not this can be layered with other sealants. I use a lot of "professional" detail products and like testing other brands. Some work well with others. I'm curious if your product is one of those.

Great question, sounds like you’re pretty deep into the detailing side of things 👌

On the hydrophobics, we designed SUMA to prioritize tight, consistent beading and easy sheeting rather than just “flashy” initial water behavior. In real-world conditions (dust, salt, etc.), it tends to stay active longer instead of dropping off quickly like some SiO2 sprays can.

As for layering, yeah, it generally plays well with other products. A lot of users run it as a topper over ceramic coatings or existing sealants without issues. Like most things, you’ll get the best result on a clean base layer, but it doesn’t seem to have compatibility problems with other “pro” products in our experience.

If you do end up testing it with your current setup, we'd be genuinely curious what you think, especially compared to the other stuff you’re running.

I'll pick some up today and test it. I like using spray on sealants like yours to demo in front of new/prospective clients. They love to see the water behavior.

When I try it out, i'll leave a review. Maybe i'll even take a contrasting photo of the hyrdrophobics for those who actually read reviews.
