I go off-roading / camping every so often so I'd like to throw some chase on my Tacoma. I have the outlets in the back so I'm envisioning something I can attach temporarily and plug in then take off when I don't need them. Is that even a thing? Anyone have any suggestions?

I've never heard of this but out of curiousity, how would this be better than a good flashlight?

That could work if there was a way to mount it. I hadn't considered it.

I have been using Guardian Angel lights for this EXACT thing for 10yrs now. They also work for moveable flood lights at night. They are magnetic but you can also buy different mounts for them. I personally pick the red/white combo.
