There's definitely an increase in noise vs not having it there but with the windows up it's not super noticeable. I can't compare it to other racks as I've never had another one on there.
It's a little crazy that they use those in the video but don't provide them. I ordered these. I'm assuming they'll work:

I think you solved my issue. My boards didn't come with those t-track inserts! That's what I need. It did come with the kit but for whatever reason, the kit was missing the t-slot mounting part
I thought about that too but the bolts are too wide to slip into the slots on the rack. For that to work I'd have to remove the t-track everything I want to mount the boards
Right, but I'm not clear on how to mount onto the the t-track. My current plan is to use the hex bolts and washers I circled in the picture in the t-track slot with the bracket and posts sitting on the t-track. My problem is once I get the hex bolts and washers in the slots I can't figure out...
Oh I'm sorry, maybe I wasn't clear. The mount does have a hole for a lock. I'm just curious what people out there are using. Also, I was a bit confused about how to mount the plates to the t-track on my roof rack. If anyone has pics on how they tightened down their mount to the t-track, that'd...
I recently purchased these recovery boards

I'm curious if anyone has any suggestions as to how to mount them to my roof rack T Track system. I'm not super clear on the best way to tighten the mount to the rack
I just picked up a set of recovery boards and mounted them to my roof rack. I was wondering if anyone had any good recommedations for locks. I'm not sure what is the best way to lock them down.
Just food for thought, when I did my recent light bar install, I didn't have to remove any 8mm bolts. If you just remove those panels (pics attached this time), you'll have full access to the switches. Hopefully that makes life a little easier for you. The switch panel might not pivot as much as...
@SmokyMtnTaco Question. Why did you have to take all the other stuff apart instead of just pulling out the switch panel. Can't you just unclip the switch panel? I did a similar switch update for my light bar by unclipping the "hidden compartment" panel, the panel above the switch panel then the...
I had the same experience with those predator steps. They are better off not there for sure! I went with the Cali-raised step sliders but there are tons of options out there. For what it's worth, I took a bit of a hit on MPGs but nothing that made me regret getting them.
I can't tell if this is sarcasm or not but just in case, I figured I'd chime in. The TRD Pro and Trailhunter trims are spec'd out to be offroad so that's why they have those rock sliders instead of steps. Normally, it's a feature that people look for in off-road capable versions of trucks.
All...
I also went down the route of using an add-a-fuse to wire up the light bar to the fuse box instead of directly to the battery. The setup is finally complete!
