EKR Seat Covers -- how to install?

has anybody successfully installed these that has a seated seat package?
There is a black wire almost right in the middle of the chair back that when you pull the seat back flap through is in the way and it doesn't line up with either of the slots in the pad

I have. I just pulled the black wire to one side and it will line up with the slit in the fabric. I honestly do not recall which way to pull it, but it was the natural direction it would let me go.

I was in the same position as yourself at first and read some posts detailing this specific part of the process. You can pull the wire, there is play.
