@JayTech Appreciate you pulling those receipts from the Facebook groups. The theft issue is definitely spreading fast, and seeing those posts is exactly why we didn't want to cut corners with a budget sheet-metal fix.

@ScottyMcfly "Peace of mind" is exactly what we're aiming for here, man.

It’s been a long few weeks of late nights at the machines, but I am incredibly grateful to finally say that after 28 variations Batch 001 is officially finished, packed, and live on the site.

We spent all morning shipping out the early waitlist orders (huge shoutout to those of you in here who took a chance on us early). As a small startup, the feedback, the metallurgy debates, and the overall support from this community while we dialed in the CNC paths meant everything to us.

If you are looking to secure your tailgate with genuine California locally-machined billet aluminum, stainless steel hardware, and a German-engineered Abus lock, you can check out the final product here: https://goldencoastoverlanders.com/

Thanks again for letting us share this build with you guys. Let's get these rigs secured. 🍻

Seems to be your only product. Since you mentioned the capacity for cerakote in the future, I'd highly recommend your next mods be tow hooks and tie down hooks. There's quite a few companies in the space, lots of cheap Chinese stuff. But nothing that I've seen so far with colors other than Red. TRD boys love their red, the rest of us would rather match body color for accent pieces.

Appreciate the insight, Will! You're exactly right the tailgate lock is our sole focus right now. We intentionally wanted to launch with just one highly engineered product to make sure we nail the quality control before expanding the catalog.

I really like that idea for color-matched tow and tie-down hooks though.
Beating the cheap imported stuff with premium, California-machined parts is exactly our goal,
and offering body-matched colors instead of just standard TRD red is a great angle. I'm definitely adding that to our R&D whiteboard. 🤙🏼
