Quick install video review:
I and editing and will also post a longer YouTube install video in a bit.
I installed a full set of Lexland seat covers yesterday on my 2024 Tacoma TRD Sport and wanted to share a detailed breakdown for anyone considering them. Lexland sent me the covers to review.
For anyone interested, these are the exact ones I installed:
https://lexland.com/products/tacoma...t-protector-for-toyota?variant=53052349350198
Promo code: RM20 for 20% off
Overall Impression
These are very close to OEM look and feel. Easily one of the best-fitting seat covers I’ve seen for the new Tacomas. Install isn’t the easiest, but the end result is absolutely worth it.
Pros
OEM-like appearance
Once installed correctly, these look almost factory. They completely transform the interior and do a great job covering the stock light gray.
Tight fit (in a good way)
Fitment is very snug—almost too tight at first. I had a few small spots where the original fabric showed, but after working/stretching the material into place, it cleaned up nicely. I expect them to settle in over time.
Excellent packaging
Everything came well organized with minimal creasing. Lexland did a great job packing all the covers into each other—install-ready out of the box.
Thick, durable material
Material feels premium and substantial. Definitely not your typical thin slip-on cover—these feel like they’ll last.
Comfort
Comfortable overall. The seat actually feels a bit softer initially, but I’ll have a better idea over time.
(I’ll be updating at 3, 6, 9, and 12 months.)
Easy to clean
During install I had pollen and sweat on them (Florida life). Everything wiped off easily with just a damp towel—no streaking.
No chemical smell
No harsh off-gassing. Just a light “new seat” smell.
Airbag compatibility
Appear to be airbag compliant. The website states they are, and both front seats have airbag tags built in.
No extra tools required (but use gloves)
You can install without tools, but I highly recommend using the included gloves. I skipped them and ended up with scratched hands and grease from under the seats. A plastic trim tool also helps a lot around headrest guides.
Cons / Installation Challenges
Zipper caution
I broke a zipper during install—but that was on me for rushing. I was able to fix it, but I highly recommend leaving all zippers open until the very end.
Front bottom seat confusion
Driver and passenger bottom covers are slightly different and not clearly labeled. I installed the wrong one first and had to redo it. If something looks off near the center console side, you probably swapped them.
Rear Velcro durability
If you try to overtighten everything (like I did), you can rip the Velcro. Snug is enough—don’t go overboard.
Metal hook placement
Fishing straps down the side with hooks already attached is difficult.
Tip: Feed the strap first, then attach the hook underneath—much easier.
Headrest covers not labeled
All the covers look very similar but fit differently. I accidentally used a rear cover on the front. It was super tight. Then swapped with another headrest cover. Went in tight but didn’t have to squish it in. Just a heads up.
Biggest headache (my fault)
Fixing the zipper I broke. Had to remove the cover, flatten the zipper stop, and realign it. Worked fine, but totally avoidable if you follow instructions.
If you want a clean OEM-style interior upgrade, these are absolutely worth it.
Just be ready for:
• A tight, patience-heavy install
• Some trial and error
• Taking your time with zippers and straps
I’ll be updating this review after 3 / 6 / 9 / 12 months to see how they hold up to daily driving in Florida heat.

If anyone has questions about install or fitment on the 2024 Tacoma, I’m happy to help. I can take specific pictures of any parts of the seat covers if you want. Just let me know.
