Mabett provided me with their windshield sunshade for review.
Let me say, I didn't know sunshades came with this level of quality. I've always used the awkward folding hoop ones in the past. The one from Mabett is very rigid and designed to fit very precisely to this truck. Does an excellent job of blocking the light and snugging in to hold itself up. I will say that this sunshade will not work with most dashcam setups.
I do however have the fitcamx installed on my truck and they agreed to send me one to review anyway. With the fitcamx it does not fit as intended- flush against the contour of the mirror sensors/console. I would however still recommend this if you have the fitcamx and want an effective premium sunshade. The fit does not bother me at all. The rigidness of the shade makes it so you can't sneak it around the camera bump.
In the future I may be tempted to cut a little notch out so I can fit it around the camera, just have to figure out how I'd want to refinish it so it doesn't look like I just hacked away at it.
I wouldn't hesitate to purchase this if blocking light is your priority!
Thank you for providing me the opportunity to try this product out.
