All the manufacturers who produce a "Limited" model of a truck seem to follow the same script: chrome mirror caps and door handles; rims, to an extent (some do it better than others); grilles; front lower valance; and other trim pieces. I'm old, so I don't mind chrome—but I think it's too much on the Tacoma. They did a better job on the Limited 4Runners, in my opinion.
Anyway, here's the start of my partial dechroming. I picked up the mirror caps a while ago. The door handles are overlays, not the full handle covers that some others are using. They're vinyl-wrapped using 3M 2080 Gloss Dragon Fire Red (G383).
I have a newfound respect for wrappers; I thought these small pieces would be good practice—and they were—but it's tough. Getting the vinyl to lay flat on the corners was a pain, and I never quite got it to my satisfaction after several tries. So, I’ll spare you any close-ups.
