Truck makes a noise if I turn left, it's not the wheel rubbing but something else. It's only when I turn left. Anyone have any ideas? I can't see anything since I can't really look when driving.

I don't think it's this because I have 19,000km and it only just started happeningI'm willing to bet it could be the tires making contact with the mudlfaps, my pro did when I first picked it up, until I changed them out
Can you post a video of the noise?I don't think it's this because I have 19,000km and it only just started happening
I'll try to get a video of it tomorrow, it's hard where I'm in the truck, not sure if it'll pick up on camera. I'll respond tomorrow with a clip! Can you post a video of the noise?
Here, I was able to get out and get a video after, the wheels are on grass to show it's not pavement. Can you post a video of the noise?
Did they figure it out?I'm having the exact same issue with a stock Trailhunter, including wheels, and am taking it to the dealer tomorrow. I can the the vibration from the clicks in the steering wheel as well. It's somewhat inconsistent, so I hope I can make it happen when I'm there. It tends to happen most when I turn the wheel max either way, and when I'm going over the curb when I exit my driveway. I'll update after my dealer visit.
They kept it an extra day because they were having problems figuring it out. Here's the disappointing reply they just sent. I'm going to pick it up and will push the issue and get corporate involved.Did they figure it out?
Wow. That is very unfortunate. I'm not schedule until June 17th, will update you if they figure it out. They kept it an extra day because they were having problems figuring it out. "As far as the sound coming from turning, we are not able to do anything for unfortunately. We test drove two others that are doing the same exact thing, so there may be a recall in the future but we do not really have a solution at this moment unfortunately"
I asked what they did to diagnose it, and here was the response.
"Test driving the other tacomas, did a deep inspection of yours next to 1 brand new one and 1 that has a couple thousand miles on it. Everything is identical on all 3 of them even the sound."
I'll let you know what they say when I push for getting a higher level of support. Waiting for a recall or TSB is hardly acceptable.
So they claim it's "normal" for Gen4. I asked them to bring it up with their regional Toyota representative as I find it hard to believe it's designed that way. They claim they heard the same noise with non-Trailhunters on the lot as well. I'm definitely interested to hear the response you get so please let us know. Here's the write up.Wow.
