Does anyone use this cover. When I bought my 26 TRDOR I ordered what I thought was a soft rollup from Toyota, only to find that it was a tri-fold after they had installed it. I hated it immediately initially for the fact that you lose access to like 2ft of bed space, then the way you have to release or latch it(seriously, who came up with that system) and lastly,

the absolutel deal-breaker. It removes the fuction of the powered tailgate. It's so tight that the tailgate cannot open unless you are pulling on the tailgate when it tries to open. However, if you are pulling too hard, the tailgate sticks and you have to close it to reset it and try again. Again, how did this pass QC? I also didn't understand why it was an $1,100 cover when you can get the same one from the toyota site for $700...anyway

I went back and forth with them for about an hour until they agreed to purchase one of equal value and swap it out at no cost. I had the soft rollup on my last truck and had no issues with it other than very minor leaks, so I went with the hard rollup with professional install. The one thing that worries me about this one is it looks like it requires holes in the bed to rul drain tubes. I'm assuming they will drill and install the drain tubes since my bed doesn't have any

I have had one on my TRD Pro since I bought it back in May of ‘25. It does have some minor leaks around the edges towards the front of the bed but nothing that would soak anything. A little extra weather stripping can do wonders. As for the holes in the bed for the drainage tubes they are already there and just need to be drilled out a bit for the tubes to fit in. I’ve really enjoyed mine and it’s been a joy to have and use for about half of what a BAK revolver costs.
