2025 DCLB SR5
I just wanted to share my experience purchasing my SR5, the price I paid for the truck, and the price I paid for my mods, as well as some thoughts for anyone who comes across this while shopping. Keep in mind this purchase was complete November, 2025 so things may be different. If you just want to see the mods, skip to the bottom!

I went with the SR5 over the TRD Off Road because in my area ORs were 8K to 10K+ more than what I paid for this SR5. On top of the purchase price I knew I would upgrade the tires, wheels, skids, and stereo on either trim bringing the total up even higher. I also didn't see myself ever needing a locking rear diff or crawl control and, for me, the less electronic gadgets the better. I also did not want a sun roof (have had bad luck with those).

I found my SR5 6 hours away and the dealer had dropped the price by a couple grand on the last weekend of the month. The price was already under private party value at the time, so instead of spending time and energy haggling the price down anymore I said I would take it and had the finance manager sign the deal before I boarded the train.

I brought my cash and my own financing with the remaining approval amount down to the penny and wouldn't let them pull another application so they wouldn't be able to upsell me any add-ons or extended warranties (5 min in the finance office). It was essentially treated as a cash deal with no wiggle room and I was in and out of the dealership in an hour.

The truck is a 2025 DCLB 4x4 that had 4,264 miles on it that someone owned for 29 days and traded for a Tundra. It was CPO so in addition to the factory warranties I got a 7 year, 100,000 mile Toyota Powertrain Warranty. The sale price was $37,885. After TTL it was $41,897 OTD.

As far as upgrades go, this is what I have done and what it cost me after shopping around:

•Trail hunter wheels & Nitto G3 tires ($2275 - $300 OEM tire sale, kept the SR5 wheels as back ups)
•Landcruiser skid plate + crossmember ($350)
•Illuminated emblem ($140)
•Bed roll up cover (ebay $90)
•Seat covers ($190)
•Tow hooks OEM ($90)
•Tinted windows ($190)
•Beatsonic harness, LOC, NVX amp kit ($100)
•Rockford fosgate 8" powered sub ($320)
•Ark mid mud flaps ($120)
•OEM rocker protectors ($150)
•Bilstein 5100s all around + front install and alignment ($1,020)

$4,735 in upgrades + purchase price = $46,632 Total OTD. As of February, 2026 they are selling SR5s for a minimum of $42,000 before TTL at the dealership in my city. It's ALWAYS worth it to shop around, however far you're willing to travel. A 6 hour train ride and a very enjoyable drive home in my new truck saved me 5+ grand.

And I'm basically done! I'm bringing the rear up a 1/2 inch to get some rake back this week and might add heated seats at some point, but essentially I have the Tacoma I always wanted and it RIPS! I don't have a single regret.

Down below is what the truck looked like on my laptop on the train ride down to pick it up v.s. what it looks like 3 months later.

Hope something here helps someone!
