TRD OR Premium Nothing Crazy Build

Since I bought my pickup in November, I've been looking to add a couple of items to my OR to enhance the off road capability and possibly add some cosmetic items.

In December, I bought the trailhunter skid plate when Toyota put out their big coupon.

Today, I picked up a take off set of 6' oem rock rails from a forum member.

I also picked up his take off ARB chase bar.

I’m considering trail hunter take off wheels, if I can find a set for a reasonable price. I’m not sure the bronze rims would be a good match for solar octane, but I’m willing to find out.

I'll post picks with the items on the truck asap. For now, it's unmodified.

Today, the ARB Sport bar was mounted. It’s pretty straight forward, but some forward thinking makes it easier.
1. Remove the rearmost bolts in your bed rails closest to the tailgate. This makes sliding the anchors into the rails much easier.
2. Stage the bar in place, THEN slide the anchors to align the holes.
3. I screwed in each corner brace to the back anchor, leaving it loose so I could have some flexibility to line up the side anchors.
4. Add a bolt to the rearmost front anchor, also leaving it somewhat loose. Then add the rest of the bolts to the front assembly.
5. Align the anchor to the arb bar rear section and bolt it in.

With the weather still good, I grabbed my son and we installed the rock rails too. Maybe next weekend i’ll install the trailhunter front armor plate. Getting there…
