That Vent fitting has a rubber o-ring on the inside and the outside as well as a cup washer and then gets tightened down with the nut.
Supposedly the o-rings are compatable with being used for fuel.
Well I got the fitting I ordered and installed it into the "fuel cell" aka gas cans, fuel jugs, gas storage container.
So I transferred the fuel that was in the "cell" to my truck and then drilled a small hole and installed the fitting, pretty simple.
The fitting came with a cap but since I want...
Here is a quick pic of the 30L fuel cell after I removed it from my truck.
Because I will be mounting the tank horizontally I can’t use the vent on the bottom under the fill area. So I am going to drill and mount a fitting along the top. As I am not planning to remove the tank and will use a...
Got an issue I would like some input on.
Just purchased a 2026 Tacoma and of course it came with the standard 18g fuel tank.
No larger tank available as off now.
So..
I decided to get some molle panel and mount it to the front section of the rear bed area.
I then purchased a plastic 30L fuel...
I picked up a front bed section of Molly panel complete with hardware for less than $100 off e Bay.
Also found a 30L fuel cell and lockable mounting brackets for I think it was $130 again off e bay.
Going to horizontally mount he tank against the front wall having the fill cap right next to...
F that noise. I’m not a patient man.
I looked at the Rough Country Molle panels to mount inside the rear bed and fasten up a 3g plastic can to that for like 3 bills or more.
AND they are not sized for the “longbed ” version only the 5’ bed. I’m sure it would work but, being inpatient, I will...
Does anyone make a replacement fuel tank for the gen 4 Tacoma?
With just 18g and only getting about 18mpg I have almost ran out of gas 2x.
My previous truck (F350) had a 48g tank underneath. I cried when I filled it up but had considerable range to not be filling up every week.
I know they...
What I mean is the tire is wider and maybe doesn't have as tall as look as it did with the narrower rims.
Im hoping after getting the lift to space the tire away from the body it will look more proportional, for me anyway. Going from the +55 on the 7.5" wheels to the +25 on the 8.5's sticks me...
Looking to sell some brand new rims that came on my 2026 Offroad Tacoma.
Im in San Diego.
Got about 500 miles on them.
Comes with plastic cap and factory lug nuts.
Tires are allready sold.
Even have HD boxes that my Methods came in for transport.
$400 firm.
Just picked up a gen 4 and immediately swapped out the tires to Wildpeak 285/70 r17 tires and kept my original stock tacoma wheels.
Looked ok as I had also popped in some RC 1 1/2" spacers in front to level it out a bit.
Here is a couple of pics with the stock rims 17 x 7.5 +55 offset.
Now my...
So going by the dealer fee charges of when I bought my present vehicle a month ago here is the breakdown.
You don't pay sales tax on the difference you pay on selling price.
My truck (41k) credit and balance of $11,650
Cal state Tax 7 3/4% of $52,650 is $ 4,080
Doc Fee...
NOW I’m over it.
Went over to the dealer that had the add for the potential truck I inquired about and here is how it shook out.
They would give me a max of 41k for my truck.
They would come down from $56,529 to $52,650
So it would be my vehicle plus $16 and some change
Told them no dice but...
Yotota I hear ya believe me.
Disconecting the front links manually is relatively easy I agree. I had to disconnect them when I added the front coil spacers.
Do I need this feature absolutly not.
Like I mentioned earlier if I can trade mine in and throw in 8-10 k more then I might do it, other...
