  1. Trailhunter max tire size

I ended up going with the 275/70/18 KO3s. They still aren’t big enough to fix my speedometer, but now it’s only off by 1 mph. I think the 285s would fit ok without issues, but I added mudflaps on the front and they would need to be removed for the 285s. I’m too stubborn to do that so 275s it is.
  2. ARB Sport Bar + tonneau cover combination -- how to have both (my solution)

You are correct. I used a grinder with a wheel for metal cutting, then a grinding wheel to shape it out and finally a wheel for sanding/polishing to make it smooth.
  3. ARB Sport Bar + tonneau cover combination -- how to have both (my solution)

I drove it before and after with the back window open and there is no difference in wind noise. You can compare this photo to your setup and I think it actually raises just enough to make it more streamlined, so the air flows under the front edge of the bar rather than into it?
  4. ARB Sport Bar + tonneau cover combination -- how to have both (my solution)

I didn’t reuse the foam padding. I bolted it directly to the T rails and it doesn’t rattle at all. It’s really solid on there. I did buy some 1” marine foam to add to the bottom where it hangs over the edge of the rails (just to fill the gap), but never used it since it doesn’t really look bad...
  5. Trailhunter max tire size

I have a 25 TH and the speedometer is off by 2mph at 60. Rather than installing a Hypertech calibration in the dash, bigger tires make more sense(I'd probably do it anyway at some point). From what I gather here, I should be able to go to 285/70/18 KO3s with no issues, correct? Anyone here have...
  6. ARB Sport bar practicality

Added a tonneau cover and kept my sport bars. https://www.tacoma4g.com/forum/threads/arb-sport-bar-tonneau-cover-combination-how-to-have-both-my-solution.15686/page-2
  7. ARB Sport Bar + tonneau cover combination -- how to have both (my solution)

I was worried about the same thing. My first choice was a BAK roll top cover. Mount it sitting on top of a plate that connected to the rail system and had bolts going up for the bars, instead of the T-slots. That was just too much fabrication and I couldn’t find anything on the market that I was...
  8. ARB Sport Bar + tonneau cover combination -- how to have both (my solution)

I squeezed the bars closest to the cab in about 1/8 - 3/16” on each side just to minimize to amount of overhang out from the tonneau track. But I don’t really think that made much of a difference. Unfortunately I didn’t take any before photos from that angle to compare.

I looked at that as an option too, but it looks like the Diamondback flips up? If that’s the case, you could cut the mounting tabs off the sport bars and bolt them to the top of the cover. The limitation would be that the front section of the cover would only open 60% ish.
  10. ARB Sport Bar + tonneau cover combination -- how to have both (my solution)

Perfectly level. I took my time grinding it flat and sanding it smooth. The last 2 photos show the after and before (I kinda sucked at the post) that show how much higher it is after the install.
  11. ARB Bed Bar…Why the hate?

Here is a link to my post on the addition of a tonneau with the ARB bars attached. https://www.tacoma4g.com/forum/threads/keep-your-arb-bar-and-a-tonneau-cover.15686/
  12. ARB Sport Bar + tonneau cover combination -- how to have both (my solution)

If you don’t like the ARB sport bar, you can move on to the next thread. I happen to like it but I wanted a tonneau cover too. I had 2 ideas to make both possible. The first idea was to make a plate that sits under the lip of the cover and allows you to bolt the bars on after cutting them up a...
  13. ARB Bed Bar…Why the hate?

I am almost done with mounting my bars on my tonneau cover. Just waiting on some parts from Amazon.
