  1. Belt chirp when a/c turns on

Dealers here don't seem to want to do warranty work so I'll just wait till it breaks completely and throws the belt then call roadside :like:
  2. Winter fuel mileage...I have concerns !

It runs hot but shouldn't overheat with stock cooling. I did worst case scenario basically, sub 10mph crawling for 10 miles in 90F weather and in 4L the trans didn't overheat. Gotta use the gears. I have noticed though, if you're doing city driving then transition to freeway driving, the...
  3. Oil change, is it even worth going to the dealer for the “free oil changes to 25k miles”?

Even just doing 5k you can absolutely hear a difference when you put fresh oil in it. Might switch to 3k intervals at 15k, which would be apt because the engine is probably done breaking in by 15k.

Even just the temps going from 75-50 to 50-35 reduced my MPG some. I've also noticed during a 30 minute freeway drive we frequently do the transmission is staying around 160F on the freeway instead of 180-200F. Seems to shift much more smoothly at lower speeds around 180-200F.
  5. Camtuning / Cobb AP Review (Hybrid Tacoma Sport)

When my warranty is up I'd be interested in a TCM adjustment to get the truck to downshift consistently into first below 10mph. I just do it manually now with S mode, which is fine but it would be cool if it did it on it's own. Taking off in 2nd feels meh. I don't mind the somewhat jerky...
  6. Real-Life MPG Thread - Share Your 2024+ Tacoma 4th Gen's Gas Mileage! ⛽

I noted this as well https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/transmission-cooler-anyone.869800/#post-30971142 I mentioned this in the other thread but the transmission seems to do a lot of slipping of the TC when it's cold. I believe this is to A. Not substantially load the engine before the oil...

  8. 0W-16

350H is A25A-FXS The gasser model is T24A-FTS however, as well as the F Sport. Neither of those are eCVTs though. The A25A is definitely made for thinner oil than the T24A-FTS. I don't think OP did harm but I wouldn't be doing 10k OCI on 0w20 anyways. These engines are specced for thicker...
  9. OEM Steelies - Not exactly black

I drove around for a while at 120ft lb I don't think they're gonna fall off at 100 either to be fair lol
  10. OEM Steelies - Not exactly black

I ended up with the TRD M14x1.5 lug nut set: But yeah any acorn style lug nuts will work Mcgard makes the TRD set above and they're actually really nice quality They sell these...

  12. *Now Available!* OEM Turbo Upgrade!

Not in the industry just have owned a few WRXs so I know too much about this stuff :cwl: The Subaru community has gone through this same scenario a thousand times over and what you can and can't get away with has been well defined. Also what is worthwhile and not worthwhile upgrading too...
  13. *Now Available!* OEM Turbo Upgrade!

Original turbo + aftermarket intercooler (and not tuned) = pass smog Aftermarket intercooler and turbo = fail and if you're tuned you'll fail immediately anyways Intakes always need carb eo, charge pipes don't, turbo inlets don't CARB says "hoses" will pass but if the tech sees a silicone...
  14. *Now Available!* OEM Turbo Upgrade!

these trucks are going to fail CA smog if your grille shutters are deleted and throwing a CEL absolutely zero chance of passing smog with an aftermarket turbo
  15. What gas are you using?

They will and do. New gas turbo engines will absolutely knock themselves to death. It's probably more likely than ever due to everyone going high compression + forced induction (T24A-FTS has a 11:1 compression ratio). That's a lot of squeeze before you add any boost. Also the go-to super...
