ARB MT64 top hat. The picture above of the integrated top hat is the same shock. You really cant tell there is play in it until it is loaded up by the weight of the truck. How I tell there is play outside of hearing it going down the road is to grab the control arm and pull it towards myself...

39 inches in the front, measured from the ground through the center of the hub to the bottom of the fender
40 inches in the rear measures the same way as the front.
Its not that the top hat blows off or anything. In the 2nd page of this thread, I posted a video of what actually happens if you want to check it out. Just develops a little play.
Bad news to report.
I had another top hat failure on my front MT64 struts. This time it was the driver side. I really don't even push these shocks that hard. Just daily on smooth roads and the occasional forest service road on the weekend.

Itās one of the first things I noticed was off when I had the MT64 installed. Iām actually getting the TRD lift lower control brackets install tomorrow. It is supposed to help with the turning radius.
