Lol no judgment. Thanks man!
Have you had this installed yet? If so what are your thoughts? What are all the parts that came in the kit?

Thanks for the kit part number. I will take a look. Are you installing this or is the dealer? Keep us posted with before and after pics and measurements and your review.
I'm currently running the MT64s. I just had the lower knuckles and the tie rods from the kit installed.

I haven't yet, just have the MT64 suspension installed currently. Still trying to work out if the parts in that kit will work with my SR5. I'm going to start a new thread once I get everything figured out that will be specific to the MT64 setup for a SR5. I'll link it here too once done

Started the thread to capture my whole build. Will include updates when I fix the turning radius. Here is the link: https://www.tacoma4g.com/forum/threads/space-taco-build-2024-tacoma-sr5-double-cab-4x4.19641/

The time has come for me to upgrade my suspension. The stock OR shocks can't keep up and I've got more weight now than the Dobinsons 819v can comfortably handle so I might as well just take the dive.

I'm considering the Ironman 4x4 IM2.5 stage 2 kit (20% off currently) or the Falcon 3.2 using Ironman's pro forge upper control arms. Both kits claim to be geared towards handling extra weight, which is critical for me. I'm leaning towards the complete Ironman kit due to them being right down the road from me and the kit is ~$500 less expensive than the Falcon/IM UCA option.

For those who have purchased/installed the lower knuckles and tie rod ends, two questions. First, what exactly is different from the stock parts that makes enables the smaller turning radius and, second, are the new tie rod ends necessary if you're swapping out the lower control knuckles or are they just a "nice to have" item?

edit: Actually the price difference is even more b/c I forgot that the IM kit also comes w/rear springs....

Bad news to report.

I had another top hat failure on my front MT64 struts. This time it was the driver side. I really don't even push these shocks that hard. Just daily on smooth roads and the occasional forest service road on the weekend.
I got in touch with ARB to warranty it and they told me that it's a common issue and are working to find the exact solution. Told me that it is still safe to drive on, but I may get a rattle and/or squeak sound.
I'm on a hold list now for when the solution is found, they will send me the updated version of the struts. No time frame on that though.

Ouch… I thought the top hat was OEM? Seen numerous reports of those failing. Would installing the icon reinforced piece solve that risk?

Finally got the Ironman 4x4 IM2.5 kit installed and it is amazing! Blown away with the ride and control so far, going to a 2.5" shock makes a huge difference.

That is concerning. I really dont want to be in backwoods nowhere and have a top hat blow out. I hope they have a fix soon. I'll reach out to them as well since I just purchased them through shock surplus and hope to install them in the next month.

Its not that the top hat blows off or anything. In the 2nd page of this thread, I posted a video of what actually happens if you want to check it out. Just develops a little play.

For anyone interested here is the TRD Lift with OME UCAs 🤷🏻‍♂️😜
39 inches in the front, measured from the ground through the center of the hub to the bottom of the fender
40 inches in the rear measures the same way as the front.

Was this the ARB top hat or the Toyota one? Can you send us a picture?
