  1. High Output Onboard Inverter & Generator Mode - Initial Test Results (2024 Trailhunter)

I can attest to this as well. I've left my truck on and used the inverter to cook up some hamburgers on a george foreman and an air fryer for about 2 hours.
  2. Banks Pedal Monster Review

This product is the equivalent of a potentiometer connected inline to the throttle signal. turn the dial up to make it act like it's putting out a higher throttle input than what you're actually applying to make it open the throttle more, not faster.
  3. Adding MTS and Crawl Control to a TRD Sport - EASY!

When i'm talking about all trucks, i'm talking about the 4th gen tacoma and all the 4x4 trims available. Even in 4hi you will see ATRAC work as demonstrated by TFL albeit not as aggressive. It's no longer just 4LO.
  4. Adding MTS and Crawl Control to a TRD Sport - EASY!

ATRAC comes on all the trucks. standard 4hi and 4lo will traverse everything MTS can. It's not a huge a difference in my opinion. I had a GX460 that I added an actual MTS and Crawl CPU to get it to work. That truck also has ATRAC standard. Couldn't tell the difference because both systems...
  5. Does Eco Mode do anything other than throttle mapping?

ECO changes the throttle opening during acceleration. Opens less than normal mode. HVAC doesn't go full blast cooling, which I honestly can't tell the difference other than the Hybrid battery staying charged more in stop and go traffic.
  6. Condenser struck by (something) Toyota will not replace under warranty

The transmission was covered because of a known defect; that's on toyota. rock debris striking the condenser is not considered warranty work. Just like windshield cracks from rock debris you pay your insurance deductible to have it replaced so to me your issue sounds more like an insurance claim.
  7. First Look: Two New Mabett Tacoma Upgrades Coming in Mid-July

Is Mabett going to be making a rear floor air vent diverter so it can redirect the air to the body instead of the feet? Thanks!
  8. WANTED - 4th gen lower spoiler / air dam

I've driven with it off and on here and there depending if i'm doing long hwy trips in lots of head wind. I get +2MPG with it on in those conditions. I'm looking for one myself so I can trim it down about 2 inches. I'm a fan of that chin spoiler in that it is functional without being too over...
  9. Banks Pedal Monster

I have a good example of this. I have two shoes I wear every day. One is my regular comfortable shoe that I wear most of the time and the other is my steel toe work boot. Whenever I wear my work boot while driving, I have to completely readjust my seating position because the extra inch of...
  10. Tune or Banks PedalMonster?

The single biggest issue with the stock truck calibration is the torque limitations in first gear. That makes it feel like the truck has massive turbo lag and falls on it's face. If you half throttle from a stop, it feels faster than full throttle, but never really wows you. That is ANNOYING...
  11. Banks Pedal Monster

Sorry to burst your bubble, but no pedal commander or similar device will give you more torque. It merely increases throttle input position and input sensitivity. I like to say its the equivalent of wearing platforms or boots that push down on the pedal further with less foot pressure and...
  12. Accident with Rear End Damage

back in the 90s they would just pull that out and replace the bumper. now a days one dent, "OH that's totalled." Rates go up and we consumers lose.
  13. Driveline Vibration Issue & Fix: Replace Rear Driveshaft

I just had my gauge cluster recall done and asked the dealership to look into the vibration at 60 mph. I told the service advisor that I'm not the only tacoma owner that's experienced this and noted this post as well. I specifically asked him to look at the rear driveshaft for play or...
  14. 26 Limited Hybrid. Impressive so far.

Get the truck PPF in the area of the bed before the fender just right in front of the rear wheels and after the cab of the truck. It will pickup rock debris like no other. Mine got completely obliterated and I don't offroad on trails at all. get some wide mudflaps to help mitigate some of the...
  15. Bigger Turbo and Tune on Iforce max

I don't think these trucks need a turbo upgrade. A tune is fine for those who just want more torque and drivability improvements. The turbo is already pretty small so it spools up really quick for low end torque at low rpms. If you get a bigger turbo you will probably get better top end...
