Cobb Accessport has been great. If you like to tune your truck, it's a great tool to have to do it yourself and change tunes whenever you feel like it at your own leisure. No waiting on a local tuner to be free to help you.
Robmotive doesn't believe in Tunes because he thinks it will void the warranty. He regularly talks bad about tunes in general when in fact his dumb throttle controller acts like one. I simply told him any modifcation, if directly responsible for a failure or crash can void your warranty...
I had an argument with him about his Pedal Monster being a "TUNE" on the throttle and he didn't respond very well. That guy has a bunch of loose bolts in his head lol.
Not yet. It's been a year and it hasn't really changed so I have not bothered to do so. Plus I've been seeing other owners report the same thing. Until something breaks, I won't have a reason to have toyota check it and tell me it's normal.
I am on stock size tires. Regular SL passenger tires. It happened when new on the cheap general grabbers that came with the truck so I don't believe its because your tires. It doesn't help for sure though lol but im sure its also the transmission.
It happens mostly after the transition from hybrid to gas mode. Only in eco or normal modes. Can occur in gas mode only as well. The transmission seems to skip 2nd gear and slams into 3rd gear. It doesn't help that the gearing is short for 2nd gear but really tall for 3rd so its even more...
I have the same symptom as you and from what i've discovered I believe it's because the transmission fluid has settled at the bottom of the transmission oil pan after sitting for a while. As you start driving, it starts to circulate throughout the transmission, lubricating the gears and parts...
I hope my review helps others make a decision if they plan to tune their truck but are on the fence about taking the leap. CAMtuning has answered every question I had concerns with to the best of his ability. This isnt my first rodeo when it comes to having my trucks tuned. I've had several...
92 Chevron only. When I ran 87, there would be a stumble around 36-48 mph when you lightly apply throttle. This was a stock truck from new and it always did that. Ever since i switched to 92, it has disappeared completely. IT took a few tanks of premium to notice the stumble was now gone. I...
My truck: 2024 Limited Iforcemax, Full-time 4wd, Hybrid
Tune: CAMTuning OTS 91 Reflash
Impressions:
Torque. 1st gear. Rips...That was my initial feelings on the first pull. The low, mid, and top end power is drastically improved over stock. Where the Cobb Tune stops with their OTS tune...
I've had a vibration at about 60mph that stops after 65mph. Tires rebalanced and replaced made some differences. It's not as bad now that i've got more miles on the new tires but I can still feel the vibration. Mine is full time 4wd so I always thought maybe one of the driveshafts were out of...
