Alright folks, after impatiently waiting and a very easy install process, here's a couple short clips I captured today in the 6M. Hard to do with just a phone, my GoPro was dead, I'll eventually get better.
I'm super happy with it. There's zero drone, it's overall a very quite exhaust unless...

I had this planned but after seeing the prices, maybe in a couple years lol. I swear I seen $300ish on other posts. $900 CAD is pretty insane when all I'm looking for is to get rid of my Rev hang.
I don't mean to side with corporate scum here, but Toyota's really late in the game for subscriptions such as.
I drove a Camry before this Tacoma and never had any subscriptions but before that it was Chevy, and everything was subscription based.
Yeah it sucks, but it's the reality these...
Side note for any Canadian peeps that may order the AWE, Avoid TDOT Performance. They don't actually carry it in stock, so your 7 day shipping turns into 20-23 days lmao
Just pulled the plug on one myself. Went with the axle dump version. Cheaper, and will benefit when off-road.
Those tips are a huge improvement to the OEM massive ugly tip lol.
I'll try and get some sound clips when I get it installed. Lot's going around online of the automatic but nothing...
Glad to hear all these positive reviews on the AWE. Pulled the plug today on one myself and I'm hoping it was worth the pricetag lol.
Mostly excited I finally get to slap an exhaust on a manual, it'll be nice to near my engine on start-stops when I'm next to the big deleted Diesel guys in...
Also curious about cabin drone. Especially in the 6MT where it sits at a crisp 3k RPM highway speeds lol.
Although I've heard apparently AWE prides themselves on not having drone, and many YouTubers have stated there's virtually no cabin drone.
A lot of people still coming in to give their two cents over exhaust systems on i4s, even with me asking for them kindly not to, some people just can't help themselves I guess 🤷🏻‍♂️
Like I said, it's not for everyone. It's not overly for me either but there's a few that doesn't sound all that...
I beg of you to please attach it lol. AWE really peaked my interest with their short clip but I really want to hear it in all aspects on a 6 speed before I sink money into it.
Try streamable if you can, it's my go-to for these style forums.
I'll be the first to say, an i4 exhaust deserves nothing more than to stay stock. From cars to midsized, it all sound the same. Drone, mid-toned, horrible. That said, we're entering a whole new world of EPA regulations and "how much power can we fit into an eco engine to pass EPA standards", the...
I haven't had much experience over insurance claims, and veery thankfully but in my little experience I doubt they're going to total out your $60,000 truck over $11,000, especially if it's the other parties insurance covering the cost.
If your truck was only worth $20,000, maybe lol.
My buddy...
Panic is definitely what did it for me the couple times I gave the fellas behind me a heart attack at the lights lol. I was the opposing lights like a hawk now to know when to prepare and get into first.
Most people are amazed trucks still come in manuals when they find out mine is a manual so...
My experience stops at max 1500lbs utility trailers, so realistically first time towing something of this size and weight, you're probably right.
My expectations were way higher than they should've been haha.
Noted, ill look into that. As for the tires I'm also running Duratracs Load E lol
2008 Jay Feather EXP 19H - 3200lbs dry weight.
There's no doubt my payload was probably maxed out with the passengers I had.
Yessir, 3000lbs and some change dry weight, verified by the plaque on the door. 90% of the drive was dry weight driving, didn't have to drive far at all to fill up on water and dump.
I have a camper from 1996 permanently parked that's about 5-6ft longer than the one I towed and it's only...
Definitely agree, and was my first thought as well. Airbags or stiffer springs for towing on the regular is almost a must.
I was using a WDH, there's just simply no way I could've towed it without one through the foothills. The sag let off substantially using a WDH, my concern was the struggle...
Agreed, I definitely couldn't complain about the gas milage. My buddy in his 2nd gen burns a helluva lot more than I do towing his, he has to bring an emergency Jerrycan with him lol.
a 1 Ton and a new camper is on my radar for sure, I don't expect to be towing much with the Tacoma, otherwise...
Not sure what I was smoking when I wrote that lol but I get about 490kms to empty on a full. My average is sitting at around 14L/100kms, wish I had to record what I was getting in Kananaskis when I was out this weekend.
