I've very curious if the higher octane only translates to higher MPG, which could be more justifiable (palatable) than only for engine noise/knocking and a but of a HP/torque increase (for those of us that are not trying to tax the limited on HP or torque on a daily basis)
To those that have used it - share your experiences, learnings, insights, cautions, etc.
Why use it? What not to use it for? How many coats? Longevity? Permanent? Temporary?
Seeking a serious "explain it like I'm 5 years old" for insight into using and experimenting with this approach on...
The blackout package on my Limited was broken into two parts:
"Blackout package" $89 = front emblem + side scripts (the "Limited" lettering)... Dealer and I didn't know if it would include the tailgate letters or handles or mirror backs - Toyota's spec didn't say.
When the truck hit the dealer...
For those of us without as many gas options, and for clarity of the data; are these octnes on 10% ethanol blend? Or pure?
It's damn near impossible for me to find unblended in Maryland these days
Would love to see these tests - performance and sound/knock on 87 vs 91; 10% ethanol and pure...
I'm wondering if anyone has done a clean recording of original with resonator and then with the OEM trail dump.
I'm very curious what additional frequencies they were targeting with the resonator.
I am waiting on delivery and I bought the off-road dump because I don't want the direct side...
Do we really need to spread more lies?
They transmit it to Toyota for them to understand the usage (or non usage) of the vehicle and it's functionality.
They do not send it to your insurance (which could be one of thousands of companies)
The only insurance company even mentioned isn't generic...
In the hybrid manual:
Tire pressure warning system ...............................................504 Function................................504 Initializing..............................507
Installing tire pressure warning valves and transmitters......506
Registering ID codes............509...
Sorry to hear that. Toyota could do some heavy improvement in their customer experience and ordering 100%.
Did a few quick surveys on the Inventory search screen using various zip codes around the country and the max 500mi radius.
... looks like Limited Hybrids in Blue must be in the next...
From what people are saying - yes. I haven't taken delivery yet on my hybrid (although it's now on the dealer's lot). But it appears the center floor "hump" is different between the two. Larger or smaller no one has answered yet. Front mats are identical. If you toggle non-Hybrid, you'll...
You're likely to encounter 3 (arguably 4) price points for any given part/option:
1. Cost to have it factory/port installed (likely always the highest)
2. Cost to have dealer order it and install it for you (likely always 2nd highest)
3. Cost to walk-up and buy from parts dept and DIY the...
@Diode Dynamics - have you created a frame to infill the Heritage grille for your 18" light bar? Or how did you address the ~1" gaps on each side between the 20-3/16" x 1-3/16" opening dimension of the grille compared to your light bar dimensions?
I have the grille and your light bar sitting...
While I don't have it in my hands yet, I specifically ordered without any mats (carpet, rubber, or all-weather) and my sales rep showed me that the Limited Hybrid trim came with carpet mats included (sent me a picture of them bagged and rolled up behind the driver's seat, with the front license...
Maybe Toyota's system. But also quite plausible then that it's "lost" at the port and they are trying to locate it themselves. It's amazing what flows through a large port, and I'm shocked more doesn't get misplaced when you look at the size of operations and all the moving parts.
Calling out...
I'm curious if anyone out there has the Softex Boulder interior. If so, chime in and share some photos.
Supposedly this color option was reserved for the Limited Hybrid.
I had an impossible time locating the trim-exterior-interior combo I wanted, but did. The only catch? Now that the truck...
Yeah. I completely get that, and would agree. Mine seemed to take FOREVER to move off the first rail point, then suddenly leapfrogged 3 steps down the chain. Then it went MIA on the rails and they weren't sure what the hold-up was... could have been sitting somewhere waiting for specific...
