  1. Clunk when engaging 4H

It's my understanding that you need to keep the speed below 60 when running in 4 HI??? Perhaps I' wrong?
  2. Clunk when engaging 4H

I think the manual says 60 MPH max in 4 H.
  3. Clunk when engaging 4H

It's because there's torque on the drive line when you do it.
  4. Impressive Power When Towing

I, too, am impressed with the towing abilities–especially compared to the old 6-banger. My trailer only weighs 1500 pounds and when I tried Tow/Haul mode, it felt like I had too much power. Go figure.
  5. Warranty and aftermarket dash cam.

I added my Garmin Mini 2 using the Dongar and can't imagine it causing a warranty issue. It works great. (But you do have to turn Carplay off in your phone to access videos wirelessly.) All that the adapter does is plug (inline) into the 12-volt mirror circuit and then reduce the power to 5...
  6. Thoughts on the 2024 Tacoma after 17,000km

Good grief. I traded in m 2016 Tacoma. This powertrain is heads above the old V6 with the six-speed tranny. 265 pounds of torque vs. 317. Not to mention, no more gear hunting. The torque at the wheels is just below the old NA V8 in the Tundra.
  7. Things that should be standard no-brainer things Toyota didn't do for all Trim levels

You should re-read my reply. This is what wrote: "As to most of the other things you have listed, what you are basically asking is, why doesn't Toyota just sell Tacomas with the Premium Package? It's about money. Some folks don't want to spend $50-55,000." I didn't suggest "he just wants...
  8. Anyone done this larger cup holder yet?

I printed off the TPU plugs that hold the claws in. I like the holders much better. https://makerworld.com/en/models/480267?from=search#profileId-391789
  9. Things that should be standard no-brainer things Toyota didn't do for all Trim levels

I've heard a few complainers, but my iPhone 15 connects flawlessly and never drops. This tells me the problem that some are having is on the phone side, not the truck. As to most of the other things you have listed, what you are basically asking is, why doesn't Toyota just sell Tacomas with...
  10. Thoughts on the 2024 Tacoma after 17,000km

Take it out of cruise control.
  11. Thoughts on the 2024 Tacoma after 17,000km

Some people equate the number of cylinders to power or longevity or some such thing. It's almost an emotion. This new engine turns a lot slower than the old V6, which means longevity.
  12. Sound Deadening Kit Effectiveness

My truck doors don't buzz. I've got the hood deadener in the Premium package in my OR. It's dead quiet. I would think that would be the direction to go unless your doors make noise.
  13. Thoughts on the 2024 Tacoma after 17,000km

Which one? And is the wifi turned off in the infotainment center?
  14. Why can I drive without a key in my Taco

You must pop the hood, which you can't do unless the door is unlocked.
  15. Thoughts on the 2024 Tacoma after 17,000km

Is that an Android? My iPhone always connects and doesn't ever disconnect. Rear leg space is poor with all mid-sized trucks. The Gladiator has the best but it adds another foot onto the turning radius.
