I considered the difference between the two. I was originally leaning toward the aluminum, but the type of off-roading we do around here often involves rocks. I know the steel will hold up better and slide on rocks easier than the aluminum.
I finally got around to installing the RCI skid plates and sliders on my '24 TRD OR LB a week ago. Install on everything was pretty strait forward, especially given the instructions provided on RCI's website.
For the skids, I opted for powdercoated steel over the aluminum. I installed their...
Here are the photos I took while doing the job. They might not be the best, but hopefully they help out. The bolt locations are circled in red. There are 6 bolts that I removed that allowed me to be able to move the radiator/intercooler assembly upward enough to get the bolt out of the control...
I did swap out the UCA's myself. The passenger bolt wasn't an issue. The driver side is another story. The intercooler outlet is in the way. You have two choices. First, buy a new bolt and just cut the head off of the old one, then pull it out rearward. Second, lift the radiator/intercooler...
I don't mind the rain and mud flinging up on the truck. I come from Jeep land, lol. I may add some ppf to the bed in front of the fender flare to prevent paint damage though.

I purchased my '24 Taco, ohh, about a year ago now. Up until this weekend, I hadn't done much with it. I use it as a daily and the modification bug just hadn't really hit me for the first year. Lately though I've been...
I am finally looking to upgrade from the stock TRD OR suspension. I know I don't want just pre-load collars or lift springs. The truck is the daily with occasional off-roading weekends (some easy, some moderately difficult). I have never had a suspension setup with remote reservoirs, don't know...
Who is running a 285/75 on their stock trd off-road rims? Do you have any clearance issues? Any regrets not just buying new rims? Pictures would be great if anyone has some. Im just trying to decide if I should spend the money on rims or put that cash towards coilovers instead of getting lift...
