First connection and setup of the truck, I was asked if I wanted the Insure Connect enabled. Salesman was good about pointing that out to me at delivery.
Go to your Toyota App. Bottom right corner hit the find button. Scroll down and hit the button for "Drive Pulse & Tips". This is part of Toyota Drive Connect. It is a paid service. Some trucks come with free access for limited time.
Haha, I get a cornering infraction daily. Just the way the road is, because I am hitting the corner hard.
More important with the app is if you let someone borrow your truck, you can determine whether you ever let them use it again just by looking at how they drove it.
How's that new truck...
You have power tailgate with Premium. if you want to test it. Lock the door on your truck and put your fob or any digital key device far away and go and try to open you tailgate. It should not open.
Also with the fob or digital key device on your person you can open the tailgate and it will not...
SR5 needs the Upgrade package to be capable of using Digital Key. Digital Key is the ability to use the Toyota App on your smart phone or smart watch as a key to unlock and operate you vehicle. You can also set it up for use with valet service or put limits on authorized users/drivers of your...
I thought Digital Key communicates though Bluetooth?
One problem I have is when I get out of the truck and lock the doors by touching the door handle the trucks sounds a solid long beep and unlocks thinking that I left the digital key inside when it is not.
I have my tire pressure on page 3 right side. Been there since I set up my display 2 months ago. This is so weird that some hold setting and some do not. Mine was built 10/31. Not sure if date and possible factory loading different software??
Found a couple different ones. All about the same price. Tried to narrow down using search with specific vehicle and no luck.
Only one antenna I see? I thought it added 2? I am seeing about $300 for the antenna.
?? Just need this box? No antenna? I found price around $400 for Telematics box. I am assuming the rest of the speaker box and seat belt assy is not needed.
Thanks, Interesting info.
Here is a pic. Yes the mounting of the rail moves down slightly and away from the bed wall. The upper screw (Pink head) is the original rail mounting location. The space between the pink screws is basically the distance the rail moved.
The native system also shows traffics issues like Maps. Google Maps and the built in GPS (plus subscription) work very similar. I cannot confirm Apple Maps
Factory Toyota cover retains full use of rails by using mounting brackets behind the rails leaving the rails in front for full access. Most other covers I have seen have brackets that use the rails to anchor the top down. The space used is minimal by the mounting brackets.
Ran 2 tanks of 91 ethanol free, then 2 tanks of 93 W/10% ethanol and now ran 4 tanks of 87 W/10% ethanol and see the 87 is putting up the best MPG. Winter blend and single digit temps are probably screwing with my MPG number a bit. I will probably settle in with 87 since mileage will be slightly...
Well, it's about damn time you got that truck!!!!
Awesome and congrats on the new ride! Just in time for the snow last night and get some road salt on it.
I have a factory Trifold from my 2024 TRD Sport 5 ft bed that I removed a few days after I picked up the truck. Let me know if you are interested. I am near Albany. I could travel a bit if needed.
