I'd be willing to bet that if Toyota had their way, neither would echo through so that it's a differentiator for you to buy their nav subscription. But that Carplay must use some protocol in their code that Toyota can't block without impacting their own software.
Found this nugget on a different forum. I'm wondering if it generally holds still: that once full is enabled on HUD, Toyota and Carplay will echo through to the HUD, but AAuto will not. But that all three can show up within the instrument cluster.
(I can get AAuto/GMaps to show in my...
Did that. Doesn't show it; at least not with Subscriptions disabled, Android Auto, using Google Maps.
Were you successful getting Android Auto to show up in the HUD? and if so, which program (GMaps, Waze, etc.)?
Trying to tease out if its a Carplay v. AAuto thing? or a specific nav program...
Very useful. Easy to step on the edge to pull down and easy to kick back into lifted position. When down, it sits just to the right of the open tailgate. I forget the exact numbers but in some other post 3 reported the height from step to bed and from ground to step (at least on Ltd trim)...
Looks like it requires at least $5 shipping depending on which dealership it assigns you to, for ~$50 total.
Dropping price regardless since I'm not going to recoup cost, just trying to offset the loss and not have a perfectly new part get tossed/collect dust.
Appreciate the call out

Following this with curiosity.
I think it'd be really innovative if on top of tweaking the curves across the regular drive modes, you altered "Eco" to drop the A/C limiting nonsense and instead adjust battery/electric motor engagement points to genuinely stretch the MPG with even power/torque...
Trying to picture what this would look like if painting the middle bumper (where the fog lights mount) with the body color (I'm the same Bronze Oxide color).
I went with this cover as well for 100lb dog. Fit is awesome, you'd think it was custom. My only gripe is the metal buckles - both in that they are not removable for washing the cover easily and that my dog has already snagged his crash harness into one and become clipped in place.
You can...
What did you find to be the best instruction reference for pulling apart the front bumper and grille to do both the upper grille and lower fog replacements?
The front driver/passenger are identical between hybrid and non hybrid. The only difference is in the second row.
If all you want is driver's mat, you have a bunch of options.
Argh.
You have to buy the whole set rather than only the rear as an option

Really?
I had no change in force to close and latch. Just that you have to give a quick downward push/pull and can't just do a big gravity drop.
I actually love how much they open up and that once I'm about 12" open, they'll go the rest of the way up without assistance. The quick flick down I...
