  1. Build Week vs Delivery Date

Maybe Toyota's system. But also quite plausible then that it's "lost" at the port and they are trying to locate it themselves. It's amazing what flows through a large port, and I'm shocked more doesn't get misplaced when you look at the size of operations and all the moving parts. Calling out...
  2. Build Week vs Delivery Date

Too bad you can't ask them "what wheels or hubcabs would you need to put on the truck to get it moving my way?"
  3. Softex Boulder Interior - not only elusive but MIA!

I'm curious if anyone out there has the Softex Boulder interior. If so, chime in and share some photos. Supposedly this color option was reserved for the Limited Hybrid. I had an impossible time locating the trim-exterior-interior combo I wanted, but did. The only catch? Now that the truck...
  4. Build Week vs Delivery Date

Yeah. I completely get that, and would agree. Mine seemed to take FOREVER to move off the first rail point, then suddenly leapfrogged 3 steps down the chain. Then it went MIA on the rails and they weren't sure what the hold-up was... could have been sitting somewhere waiting for specific...
  5. Multi-Terrain Monitor demo: "Underbody" camera feature

Just in case anyone finding this thread later is curious. The manual calls out how this works. It's showing you the video footage from the front grille camera on a delayed feed. I want to say it was a 10ft offset based on wheel rotation, but I'd have to go find the page to be exact.
  6. Build Week vs Delivery Date

If your sales rep isn't, get them to send you screen captures of their tracking screen on your vehicle. They all have it, and my rep sent me a screen capture with every update and even when it went "MIA" twice during the journey. Transparency is key to trust! You can see my post and samples...
  7. Status change and when did your VIN number change?

Just updated my original detailed post, but in short my order ended up being 39 days from Build Complete to Dealership. See original post for all the step by step progress and timing.
  8. 2024 Tacoma Integrated Bed Scene Lighting

Still hoping someone can uncover the part numbers for these. I cannot for the life of me figure out the right combination of key words on Toyota parts sites to locate them!
  9. 2024 Tacoma Roof Rack / Cross Bars Style Market Survey

Building on @Bluznvice - the rear crossmember should be behind the antenna or have the option to be, so that it can protect from something leaning on the cab from the bed. Also that the total stack height of cross bars or rack should be equal to or just the smallest nudge (0.25-0.5in) higher so...
  10. Fender Whoops..............

I was just wondering how much space or how tightly it sits against that black part behind it. If you could gorilla glue or JB-weld white to black, then use a paintable high-flex caulk on the crack line itself. And if the white of the caulk wasn't close enough to then use touch-up paint or the...
  11. WeatherTech Floor mats, when??

any pictures? did you do black or gray?
  12. Heritage Grille -- OEM and Aftermarket Options

Completely agree. Now that you can identify the part numbers of the grilles, and effectively source everything else in parts, even if you don't have 3d printer skills/access, one can likely always win vs. their kit, as Rave just started even offering the brackets as a standalone buy.
  13. Is anyone using this All-weather mats?

WeatherTech released the front two ~2wks ago. But has yet to release the 2nd row in any format.
  14. Turning off power tailgate

Did you try just unplugging it? Instructions for disconnecting the wires are in your owner's manual, since it's a required step for removing the tailgate entirely when needed.
  15. Heritage Grille -- OEM and Aftermarket Options

I hear you. I'll try and remember to take a bunch of photos when I pull it all out to futz again. In my ideal world I think I'd have a full perimeter face place that sat between it and the grill to uniformly surround and cover any gaps, but it can be positioned well up/down and just leaves a...
  16. Heritage Grille -- OEM and Aftermarket Options

Bking - you can't run a fair comparison anymore. You're sourcing over a month later in a rapidly changing parts and accessories environment. My research, parts availability, known public part numbers, etc. were not known by the community back at the top of July. People were still hunting these...
  17. Heritage Grille -- OEM and Aftermarket Options

So I unboxed my RAVE kit today just to explore (not that my truck is here yet)... Being new to this, I see where some parts are intuitive, and others left "undefined". In my case I selected the Diode Dynamics 18" light bar to be street legal. Brackets they provided are self evident as soon as...
  18. Carista OBD2

@Ruissimo , @rchrds I wonder whether there was any difference in ability or options made available... Or if it's simply the speed of communication and interaction? Any comment on what you say as options or how quick/delayed interactions were?
  19. Carista OBD2

Did you do the Standard or Evo model?
  20. Off-Road Trail Pipe

My first two orders were cancelled. I was successful (and it's now sitting in a box waiting for the truck to arrive) from here: "Serra Toyota of Decatur" Can anyone give an honest impression of any audible change? Louder? Quieter? No perceived difference? Another post claims to compare but...
