  1. Auto Trailer Detection issue -- my truck still says the trailer is detected after disconnecting the trailer

One more thing to through out that may have gotten lost: per the manual, the trailer being removed will only be automatically detected when using the 7-pin. If using the 4-pin, you must tell the system manually it is no longer attached.
  2. Two Tacos and a Canyon Redux

I was contemplating GMC/Chevy for a while - both the midsize truck and SUVs. But the sheer number of frustrations and complaints we have on our Chevy Bolt EV completely turned us off the brand. When a car maker folds so many key functions into the infotainment interaction and display you need...
  3. Trailer backup and blind spot monitoring

It's in the owner's manual. I'd have to pull open the PDF again (you can download them directly from Toyota's website for file trust), but if I recall correctly, it can support a trailer up to 28ft long. It determines the blind spots and length by taking it through a "learning routine" in a...
  4. Question for the 6 limited owners on the forum

Waiting on the arrival of my Limited Hybrid. Guaranteed I'll be deep in all the menus once I can be hands on, but right now can only reference the manuals ?
  5. 2024 Tacoma Bed Molle Panels compatible with factory Spray-in Liner?

Toyota lists their OEM bed molle kit as incompatible with the factory Spray-in liner... Does anyone know why? Or can tell why from being hands on? Next up... What other options exist that are 1: compatible with spray-in 2: sit behind or under but not in the factory rails (my tonneau cover will...
  6. Victory 4x4 front skid plate installed

@Victory 4x4 - compatibility with hybrid/max trims? Would love a super lightweight full underbody kit for a hybrid. Not for off-road protection but to be a barrier against road grime, salt, and all the other random crap found along our roadways and driveways while protecting all the nooks and...
  7. ‘24 Limited Max

Very curious for those doing this as to why. What value do you see in a screen protector on your dash display? Screen protectors for phones were all about the mitigation of the glass surface being impacted by something in your pocket/purse/keys/table surface. What's hitting/dragging on your...
  8. Range vs MPG

The manual states that the low fuel light trigger is 2.7gal/10.4L remaining. I would wager that the range calculation is using the same point as it's zero reference, meaning that the range is calculating against 18.2-2.7=15.5gal (69-10.4=58.6L)
  9. Tire set switching to install some TRD Off-Road "take offs" -- programming TPMS?

It's in your manual. Look up the tpms calibration instructions. The truck can house at least two wheel sets at the same time so that you can program then
  10. Anyone running 89 or 91 octane?

Not sure why anyone is claiming this isn't listed. It's clearly stated in the owner's manual on page 584 (hybrid manual). Fuel Fuel type Unleaded gasoline only Octane Rating 87 (Research Octane Number 91) or higher Fuel tank capacity (Reference) 18.2 gal. (69.0 L, 15.2 Imp.gal.) And on...
  11. Sequential tail lights

Sequential LED turn signal lights are listed as a feature on the Limited Hybrid trim. Don't know if any others have it. From my sticker: LED headlights with Daytime Running Lights (DRL), auto on/off feature, sequential LED turn signals, backlight logos and manual leveling adjustment
  12. PSA: Euro Global Techstream Plus WORKS on 2024 Tacoma 4th Gen

whoa - which Mongoose are you using? I see them running anywhere from $400 to $800+ This one? http://www.dashlogic.com/drewtech/drewtech_mongoose_pro_toyota Then there's a lower cost "generic" ISO, or a $700+ bluetooth one I was wondering if this was worth it for the MDM enablement +...
  13. Body color matching Toyota badge (Bronze Oxide spray paint)

What's it look like zoomed out?
  14. Long Term Ownership Plans For Your Tacoma 4th Gen? (15-20 Years)

Love this. I have loaded so much in/on/behind my Highlander. Packed every square inch regularly with wood, bricks, pavers, race supplies, camp supplies, and more. Made finding a replacement damn near impossible. I had to laugh one day when I had to transfer what I had loaded to a buddy's 5th...
  15. Weather Tech HD Floor Mats Installed - finally

What's so much "better" about them?
  16. Weather Tech HD Floor Mats Installed - finally

Stoked to see the fit. Was a bit surprised they didn't release a 2nd row mat at the same time. Hopeful that a hybrid 2nd row mat hits the website soon (as well as a regular 2nd row and a manual front row for all of you that desire one)
  17. Long Term Ownership Plans For Your Tacoma 4th Gen? (15-20 Years)

Original owners and currently driving a 2004 Highlander V6 AWD as I wait for delivery on my Hybrid Limited. If the '24 Taco holds up as well as the '04 Highlander, I don't see why it wouldn't be another 20 years unless range/PHEV took a massive leap forward.
  18. Tacoma Limited : Blackout Progress

Re: wheels and speedometer Has anyone tried or checked whether recalibrating your tpms adjusts your speedometer for larger wheels? Given they specifically list changing tires or tire pressure as a reason to recalibrate, and that you have to drive above a certain speed for a set amount of time...
  19. 【Muslogy】Glove Box Divider - Enjoy An Exclusive Discount on New Arrival!

Do any of the compartments still fit the manuals? Or pens/lint rollers/etc. Or do all of them become too small? The visuals make it appear that all subdivisions become too small for much of anything. Or please post pictures of examples!
