I'm not sure if it would affect anything with your distribution module, but I have seen a couple people that have wired their fang lights to the IGN say that it will randomly turn on when the truck is off. Just something to be aware of.
I've heard a flush is worse than a drain and refill. They're essentially just running any potential debris through the system at pressure. With the issues with the casting debris I'm not sure I'd go that route. Just some random strangers opinion though.
No modifications that a normal install would encounter. I had to "improvise" a few things due to a damaged bumper, but the actual grille install is straight forward. All of the clips that sandwich it in between the bumper and facia can be a pain in the ass though.
I'll have to tear her down...
I canceled mine immediately after I bought the truck cause I don't want them reporting all of my information to various agencies - and never had any issues of resetting the whole truck lol
Part number is dependent on if you're wanting the gloss back or flat black paint. I did flat to match the blackout package I have. Part number for that is 53101-AK070. Not sure about the gloss though.
I love mine, but I tried to take one of the cleats off (that is covered in liner), and I CANNOT get the damn bolts out because of the stupid liner in the head of the bolt.
Ya'll must have some sensitive hands, cause I love the heat output. I think it could actually be a little warmer, and could stand to be constant on, not the cycle/pulse.
If you're talking about strictly adding a front facing camera, probably not difficult. If you're talking adding the MTM features that allow you to see the image from the camera on the display, I highly doubt that will be easy, or cheap.
Just an FYI, but generally if you want to shop around for rates, you have something like 30 days to have credit pulled from different places (for the same type of loan) and it will only show as one hard hit.
I ordered a TRD Pro grille through a dealer and just explained that I know it won't match the VIN provided, but that I'm replacing the OEM with this one. No issues.
Got the video to load on my phone, desktop wouldn't load. Definitely doesn't sound like a belt watching it now. Like somebody else said, it sounds like a touch tone. Weird. I've never heard that before lol. Belt slipping that I've encountered sounds like a chirp or a cricket.
Video doesn't work, but just going off of your description and from what I've experienced (albeit just a few chirps when I start the truck up in the mornings) I'm going to take a stab in the dark and say it's the belt squeak that seems to be normal.
