You should be able to ask for the contract for each of those items and on that contract it should state that it is optional and can be declined.
Regardless, I wouldn't buy it and negotiate it off.

I haven't noticed shifts while driving, but mine is jerky when going from reverse or park to drive. You definitely lurch forward or backward when it engages in gear.
