I have an easy fix for that. Simply pull about 20 feet from a Telephone Pole and place it in reverse and slam into said pole aiming your tailgate into the pole. I feel confident that it will be disabled and not function like it currently does for you.
Problem solved.
It reminds me of when backup cameras first started appearing in vehicles. My initial reaction was, "Do we really need this?" But after using one for a while, I found myself wishing I had enjoyed that convenience much sooner.
Same thing with power windows and door locks—I could go on. The point...
No, I haven’t.
None of the pieces I used were pre-cut. I just bought a 5' x 8' roll and worked from there.
The roll, along with the cut tape, cost a little over $80. I actually have enough left over to do the part you mentioned, but to be honest, I hadn’t even considered that until you...
I don’t think I’ll end up doing the top of the cab. The black accents on the truck are already pretty dominant, so it doesn’t look out of place or like something’s missing.
The hood scoop, door handle insets, Tacoma badging, grille, XM antenna on the roof, and side door pillars all have black...
Well I finally got it wrapped and I am debating whether to do the very top roof portion. I wrapped the pillars and the cab edges. Like I stated in the previous post, I did it myself and spent a little under $100 to do those pillars and cab edges. I still have some touching up to do because I...
I realize you might not want to spend that kind of money on this, but from my perspective, it’s actually a pretty reasonable option. I got a couple of quotes to have mine done, and both were significantly higher. So I’ve decided to try it myself and share photos once I’m finished.
The film I’m...
I agree with you. The Generational "thing" is painting things with a broad brush and one should not really generalize different groups as one or the other.
With that being said, I do find it interesting that those that mentioned they paid it off in one lump sum are viewed negatively by their...
You think your generation had it harder than those who lived through the Great Depression?
We’re not saying you shouldn’t enjoy life—we’re just asking that you stop complaining while you’re the one digging the hole.
I can’t speak for everyone, but each person has to make choices based on the...
Very well said. ??
I'm only slightly older than you, and I, too, am tired of being labeled "privileged" for working hard and achieving success.
The house I grew up in didn't have air conditioning—and that wasn’t unusual. Our cars lacked features like tilt steering, cruise control, and other...
I recognize that times have changed and inflation is making things tough, especially for younger buyers. That said, I still think it’s important to stick to financial principles like not spending more than you earn. It’s how I’ve stayed afloat, even when things got tight.
"We're out of touch?"
You're the one saying how tough things are, yet you're driving a relatively new and expensive vehicle.
Now, I'm not here to tell anyone how to spend their money—but if times were truly tough, the last thing I'd do is buy an expensive car and then complain about how costly...
The "privileged" people you refer to are often those who made sacrifices when they were younger.
I can only speak from my own experience, but I bought my first car in 1978 for $1,350. I was just 14 years old. I saved diligently until I had enough cash to buy a used car. At the time, I earned...
I went with the LT 275/70 R18
There is no rub and I don't foresee that there would be any rub if/when going through heavy terrain. If it did, I would guess it would barely rub.
The tire is slightly bigger than the original but I personally think the originals are too small for the wheel well...
I went with the 275 KO3 over the 285's. After driving it once they were on, they really aren't much louder than the original Generals and the ride isn't much different either. The "Cool" Factor just went up a 1000 percent though. :like:
I thought the same thing? Not sure if the stickers can be placed on to make it look straight?
I have stood back and sometimes it looks "straight" while other viewing angles appears that it is way off. From this angle, it appears that it should be rotated slightly clockwise.
That looks great!!
Any reason you didn't do the top of the doors similar to the TRD Pro?
I actually thought I may only do the door pillars and have the vinyl end at the corner of the cab and not do the very top that leads all the way to the top of the back window. Not sure on that but I may...
