If it is a Sport, I would highly recommend replacing the Solar Octane Hood Scoop with a black one. The Solar Octane Hood Scoop on mine was a slightly different color than the hood and it looked real cheap IMHO.
The Black accents on an Orange Vehicle is killer. It just pops and makes...
I agree.
I have owned 2 cars with MT and the rest ( a little over 100 ) have all had AT.
If you plan on keeping you vehicle for over 100 k, plan on replacing the clutch plates in the near future.
If you plan on trading or selling your MT vehicle, prepare to take a "hit" on the resale value...
I just ordered it from my local Dealership. Even though you can purchase them cheaper from other parts of the Country, the shipping negates the savings so I actually was able to purchase it cheaper from where I live.
No rubbing and I am running a stock suspension.
I am content with the Tire/Wheel combo that it has currently. If you were to imagine a Harley morphing into a Truck, the wheel/tire combo on my truck fits IMHO.
And to think that I doubted you. 🤔
If my calculations are correct, at this rate, you should be at 44.6 by the end of December.
Keep us posted sir. You and your air dam are proving the "haters" wrong with these screen shots.
So when you say, "I only care" all I am hearing is that you don't give a "dam"..........................
I just couldn't resist the pun.:)
In any case, like I have said before as long as you are happy that is all that counts.
After all, you are the one that puts the gas in the...
I completely agree. The irony is that to achieve this kind of mileage, you’d need to slow down—and at lower speeds the air dam’s effect is pretty much negated anyway.
You see a nice looking Tacoma and I see a Tacoma with Buck Teeth. To each their own. That Tacoma would look amazing if it had it's "teeth" fixed though.
Well it appears that I won't be eating Crow? (y)
And when you factor in driving around Town, the mileage I am sure would be almost identical. The spoiler a.k.a. air dam is really only useful at highway speeds and with that, no better than 1 mpg on most drives I'm sure.
That is exactly why I...
I removed my chin spoiler since 99% of my driving is in-town, rarely going over 40 mph.
With that said, if we ran a true MPG test in residential driving and bumper-to-bumper traffic, I’d put money on the table for the results.
An air dam definitely helps at highway speeds (just like the roof...
I’m not against chin spoilers. I’m only noting that the MPG results shared may include other variables. While I personally don’t love the look on a Tacoma, I agree they likely improve fuel economy.
If anyone has apples-to-apples before/after numbers (same route, conditions, fuel, speed)...
The only way to be absolutely sure of what difference the chin spoiler makes is by removing it and reinstalling it under identical conditions—same weight, route, driving style, and even the same time of day. There are simply too many variables that can influence fuel economy.
In general, the...
