I just did my third fill-up with my Sport Hybrid 4x4. Hand calculated the mileage using the trip meter and gallons at the pump. So far it’s been 22.7, 20.7, and 22.0 mpgs.
No drilling. There were three screws to remove on each side in the front and those were used to install the front mudguards. The kit came with 4 screws for each side in the rear. There are already pre-drilled locations for the install, so it's literally just lining it up and putting the screws...
Just installed these on mine. Should help a bit with stuff flying up off the tires. I’ve got some running boards on the way that’ll provide some extra protection as well. I liked the look of these mudguards better than the aftermarket options.
Reposting the part number in case someone missed...
I thought I was weird for liking the 3rd gen seating position. lol
Took it on a 5,000 mile road trip and was never uncomfortable. Honestly, I'm just comfortable behind the wheel of a Tacoma. 1st gen, 2nd gen, 3rd gen, 4th gen, I've liked them all.
Manuals are so much fun! I have a bad left ankle that keeps me away from them as a daily driver these days though. I'd love to find a good used 1st gen manual to mod and use as a weekend fun vehicle though.
I'll definitely report back after my 5k service. Since I can't replicate it, I doubt they'll be able to either, but I figured I'd bring it to their attention while I was at the dealer. Hopefully it's nothing to worry about, but I always try to get stuff documented either way. I haven't noticed...
2024 TRD Sport I-Force Max 4x4 with a little over 700 miles so far. Mine has been super smooth with just a few exceptions. I've noticed a slight rumble strip vibration a few times when it shifts from first to second under low throttle. It wouldn't be as noticeable if it wasn't for the fact that...
Mine does the same. Gets warm at the top first and then the bottom warms up. I just assumed it had something to do with all the plastic and all at the bottom. I don't think I've left it on long enough notice it cycling. Mine gets pretty warm pretty quickly.
I had the OEM bed mat in my last few Tacomas and it worked great at keeping things from sliding all over the place. I haven't looked at the 2024 bed mats yet, but will probably get one in the near future. My truck has the spray in liner, but it's still kind of slippery for some stuff. The other...
I looked at both, but decided on the Sport since I'm not doing any hardcore off-roading. 4wd in the Sport is more than adequate for any light off-roading I might do and I like the ride and drive better on the Sport. I went through the specs and differences are about what you would expect...

I was pretty happy with this deal. There weren’t...
Boy does she! I’m really going to have to be careful with this one. It’s so smooth and there’s no downshifting, so you’ll just pick up speed and not realize it.
And I agree 100% that the Underground color just goes so well with the 4th gen. I’m stoked that was able to find one like I wanted in...
Well, this was quicker than I expected. Searched for a truck with the options I wanted and found a few in the right colors. Negotiated one to a little over $5,100 off before the rebate and got $29k on my trade which was about $1k over blue book. I was happy with that, so I made the jump.
2024...
Not sure how I feel about the air dam yet. My 2020 had the air dam, albeit a little smaller. I swore I’d take it off as soon as I picked up the truck. Kept putting it off because I didn’t want to crawl under the truck, so I successfully procrastinated for almost 5 years and traded the truck the...
We actually test drove an Underground Sport Hybrid over the weekend. I love the Underground color. I have loved it since I saw the first pics of it. It does look even better in person. I'm very torn between that and the Bronze Oxide. I'd be happy with either, honestly.
Gotcha. Thanks for the info. Fortunately the first two didn't have any hidden fees or dealer packages added. Waiting on more info from a couple of others.
I was actually just looking for info on this. Now they TSRP listed online instead of MSRP. Is the TSRP just more inclusive of all the fees or is there more to it?
